<p>Facilitates comprehensive technical oversight of project teams to ensure the timely delivery of their objectives, verifying adherence to internal protocols and requirements. Assumes accountability for facilitating the review, consolidation, and delivery of documentation pertaining to Ride &amp; Show Systems, encompassing Audio, Special Effects, Projection, Lighting, Set/Scenic Design, Props, Show Action Equipment, Animated Figures, Ride Mechanical Systems, Ride Control, and Show Control Systems. Diligently evaluates compliance with pertinent industry standards, codes, regulations, and internal Universal standards via auditing processes.</p>
<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES</b></h3>
<ul>
<li>Helps drives the strategic direction for a project, ensuring prompt and successful completion of deliverable compliance. Perform daily checks on outstanding project tasks keep the team updated with completed milestones.</li>
<li>Identify, monitor, and communicate to management task performance risks, issues, problems, and participate in the development and implementation of mitigations or provide hands-on assistance as needed.</li>
<li>Field questions from team members and stakeholders and provide the necessary support to remove roadblocks and keep projects moving forward.</li>
<li>Design and execution of acceptance testing strategies.</li>
<li>Generate system level documentation and manuals.</li>
<li>Maintain configuration management of hardware and software documentation.</li>
<li>Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health &amp; Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.</li>
<li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li>

<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>ADDITIONAL INFORMATION</b></h3>
<ul>
<li>Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.</li>
<li>Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.</li>
<li>Ability to organize and manage a series of tasks and vendor(s) to develop and implement show and ride systems.</li>

<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>EDUCATION</b></h3>
<p>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in applicable technical field preferred.</p>
<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>EXPERIENCE</b></h3>
<p>2+ years of experience in software development. 2+ years&rsquo; experience with scripting languages, deployment orchestration, and version control.</p>

<b>JOB SUMMARY</b>: The figure animation intern will provide general support for the Figure Animation Team. Most of our work revolves around rigging and animating using Autodesk Maya. The FA Team provides aesthetic and technical direction for development of animatronic figures and related show elements and interfaces closely with many other attraction development disciplines.</p>
<p><br>
<b>MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Provide digital design and general support to the Figure Animation team.</li>
<li>The intern will be assigned to an FA Animator or Sr FA Animator to support UC project tasks as directed.</li>
<li>Most digital design tasks involve working with Autodesk Maya on character rigging and/or animation.</li>
<li>The intern will be expected to attend meetings and work with other team member and vendor partners to solve problems related to Figure Animation development as directed by their Mentor.</li>
</ul>
<ul><li>All applicants for this position should submit a sample reel, specifically showcasing work related to character animation.</li></ul>
<p><b>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophomore or above.</li>
<li>Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.</li>
<li>A transcript is required upon application.</li>
<li>Character animation and/or character rigging experience.</li>
<li>Experience with Autodesk Maya.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>PREFERRED SKILLS &amp; KNOWLEDGE:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Preferred majors include: Animation</li>
<li>Preferred coursework completed: Character Animation</li>
</ul>

<li>This internship will be an in-person experience, based in our Orlando offices.</li>
<li>Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than August 2026.</li>
<li>Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.</li>
<li>All of our internships are paid, and you may also qualify for housing financial assistance if applicable. The Recruiter will provide specific eligibility details.</li>
