This position offers a $40,000 base salary plus the opportunity for bonuses such as our Recruiting Incentive program where you can earn $250 for each CDL Driver hire ! (Average 2-3 hires per week)
Shifts: Full time (45 hours) Monday-Friday
The Driver Recruiter is crucial to the organization, as they will be hiring essential employees that make the wheels turn on the supply chain! Some qualifications we are looking for in a candidate include:

</li></ul>In this position, the Driver Recruiter will be responsible for:
<ul><li>Sourcing, screening, and hiring for positions including CDL A drivers, contractors, and owner operators
</li><li>Applicant screening, processing, and follow ups
</li><li>Tracking data and completing reports
</li><li>Ensuring applicants meet federal and local eligibility requirements
</li></ul>This position is fully onsite in Warren, MI

<h2 class="jobSectionHeader">Position Overview
</h2>The Liaison serves as the primary communication bridge between Universal Logistics and GM at the Lake Orion Assembly facility. This role ensures alignment on production needs, daily priorities, quality expectations, and operational issues. The Liaison maintains strong, solutions-driven communication, coordinates issue resolution, and supports seamless interaction between Universal operations and GM counterparts. This position plays a critical role in protecting customer satisfaction, supporting material‑flow stability, and ensuring both organizations remain aligned on key initiatives, KPIs, and expectations.
<h2 class="jobSectionHeader">Key Responsibilities
</h2><ul><li>Act as the central point of contact between Universal Logistics and GM for all day‑to‑day operational communication.
</li><li>Communicate production needs, changes, issues, and material‑flow requirements to Universal operations leaders.
</li><li>Support daily GM meetings, production reviews, and rapid-response escalations.
</li><li>Track operational concerns (shortages, quality issues, delays) and ensure timely follow‑up and resolution.
</li><li>Maintain clear documentation of customer requests, direction changes, and action items.
</li><li>Build and sustain a strong, professional relationship with GM representatives to support collaboration and trust.
</li><li>Provide accurate updates on material status, delivery timing, and sequencing/kitting performance.
</li><li>Coordinate cross-functional communication between GM, Universal operations, engineering, and quality teams.
</li><li>Assist with KPI reporting, performance reviews, and customer-driven initiatives.
</li><li>Support launch activities, engineering changes, and process updates that require cross‑communication between the organizations.
</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader">Qualifications
</h2><ul><li>3+ years of experience in logistics, warehousing, automotive operations, or customer-facing roles.
</li><li>Strong communication and relationship‑building skills with the ability to represent Universal professionally.
</li><li>Knowledge of material flow, sequencing, kitting, JIT/JIS, and automotive production support.
</li><li>Experience working with OEM or Tier‑1 customers preferred.
</li><li>Proficiency in WMS/ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and KPI reporting.
</li><li>Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage escalations and drive timely resolution.
</li><li>Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
</li><li>Flexible to support various shifts or attend customer meetings as required.</li></ul></div>
