 Overview Of Position - Psych Nurse (RN)
 
 
 
 
 We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse to join our healthcare team at University Behavioral Center, located in Orlando, Florida. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mental health practices and be committed to providing high-quality care to patients. This role involves working closely with individuals experiencing psychiatric disorders, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being while promoting recovery and rehabilitation. We are currently seeking qualified professionals with active/clear license in the state of Florida. Previous experience in a psychiatric facility or rehabilitation program is highly preferred.

 Responsibilities:

 Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health status and needs.

 Qualifications
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Current license to practice nursing in the State of Florida (or eligible to receive or renew).
 </li>
 <li>
 Current CPR or BLS certification.
 </li>
 <li>
 Preferred one year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting with patients aged 5-65yrs+.
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Work hours: 12-hour shifts; day or night shift available; rotating weekends
 
 
 
 
 
 Skills:
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Proficiency in medical terminology for medical documentation is preferred.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience with behavioral health patient is preferred.
 </li>
 <li>
 Knowledge of patient care principles for adult psychiatric patients is beneficial.
 </li>
 <li>
 Familiarity with older adult care practices is advantageous.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience working with children in a psychiatric setting is highly desirable.
 </li>
 <li>
 Competence in taking vital signs accurately.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
 </li>

 Strong critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills.

Position Summary: The Phlebotomist is responsible for the proper collection and handling of specimens as appropriate for the patient. The Phlebotomist is able to handle all areas of processes and procedures while maintaining a friendly and customer service approach with patients. Accurately and efficiently reports critical results and monitors incoming results from reference labs and logs/communicates results to providers via the Electronic Medical Record.
 Job Duties/Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Draws blood competently, consistently and expediently with as little patient discomfort as possible.</li><li>
Identifies the patient using the two unique identifiers described in the hospital&rsquo;s policy before services are provided.</li><li>
Records phlebotomy requisitions on log.</li><li>
Displays courteous, professional manner towards patients, co-workers, nursing and medical staff.</li></ul>

High School Diploma or equivalency required.
</li><li>Graduate of an accredited Phlebotomy Certificate program required.</li><li>
Current Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification through National Healthcare Association (NHA) or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.</li><li>
At least 6 months of active phlebotomy and specimen collection experience is required.</li><li>
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification</li><li>
Ability to deal with diverse and stress related situations in a calm manner.</li><li>
Must be detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
</li><li>Must have good organizational and computer technical skills and have the ability to set priorities.</li></ul>
