What You Will Do 
<ul><li>
Assist patients through the initial intake process by obtaining clinical information.</li><li>
Obtain and update demographic information. Ensure accuracy of patient information and management of multiple spreadsheets.</li><li>
Manage information through current Resource Program</li><li>
Determine benefit eligibility to Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuropsychology services.</li><li>
Possess a working knowledge of clinical requirements for all faculty members to ensure accurate clinical referrals.</li><li>
Ability to manage Referral Information.</li><li>
Assist patients with insurance questions and review financial/billing related issues that are presented.</li><li>
Responsible for fostering relationships within UHCMC for recruitment/referral purposes.</li><li>
Correspondence/telephone calls to be handled in a professional, courteous manner.</li><li>
Edit and update Orders through AEMR Worklist</li><li>
Manage referrals from AMA, FMH, and other programs utilized by University Hospitals</li><li>
Collaborate and work with PCP, Pediatricians, and Psychiatry physicians to assist patients/families with scheduling or referrals</li></ul>
Additional Responsibilities 
<ul><li>
Performs other duties as assigned.</li><li>
Complies with all policies and standards.</li><li>

Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.</li></ul></div><div>
Qualifications
Education 
<ul><li>
Bachelor's Degree Psychology, Sociology or similar related field (Required) or
</li></ul>Work Experience 
<ul><li>
5+ years experience working in mental health facility in direct patient care (Required)
</li></ul>Knowledge, Skills, &amp; Abilities 
<ul><li>
Customer Service Experience, Knowledge of PC and Microsoft Office software. (Required proficiency)
</li><li>Knowledge of Soarian or other billing systems a plus (Preferred proficiency)
</li><li>Possess analytical and problem solving skills (Required proficiency)
</li><li>Type 55 wpm (Required proficiency)
</li><li>Microsoft Word and Excel Background (Required proficiency)
</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Required proficiency)
</li><li>Excellent Organization skills (Required proficiency)
</li></ul>Licenses and Certifications 
<ul><li>
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) (Preferred) or
</li><li>Licensed Social Worker (LSW) (Preferred)

A Brief Overview 
Follows laboratory policies and procedures to perform high and moderate complexity testing. Performs pre-analytical and post-analytical laboratory support functions. Demonstrates clear communication with team members to optimize laboratory operations
What You Will Do 
<ul><li>
Accurately and efficiently performs pre-analytical, analytical and post analytical processes for laboratory testing</li><li>
Maintains and troubleshoots laboratory equipment according to manufacturer&rsquo;s instructions</li><li>
Performs and evaluates all required quality control assessments as described in departmental policies and procedures prior to reporting patient results.</li><li>
Evaluates results of laboratory tests according to laboratory protocols to ensure quality patient care.</li><li>
Documents all laboratory activities according to policies and procedures</li><li>
Maintains and demonstrates competency assessment in assigned area</li><li>
Takes responsibility for self-development</li><li>
Completes all assigned mandatory assignments within allowed timelines</li></ul>

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a chemical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution; Requirement specific in CLIA '88 to perform high complexity testing. (Required) or
</li><li>Bachelor's Degree in other field (Required) and
</li><li>Associate's Degree in clinical laboratory science and certification by ASCP or equivalent are also acceptable (Required)
</li></ul>Work Experience
