Responsibilities:

Duties &amp; Responsibilities:</b></div><div></div><p><br>
Create, copywrite and translate UDST content for different type of channels to ensure the consistency in the messages and tone of voice.</p><p>
Contribute to accurate distribution of UDST news, publications and information through relevant internal and external online and offline media platforms to support communications initiatives.</p><p>
Support in the writing and distribution of copy for publications, marketing and promotional materials and press releases for various print and social media channels to encourage awareness of UDST in alignment with communication strategies and plans.</p><p>
Maintain strong working relationships with media stakeholders to encourage positive digital media, Tv, Radio, press coverage of UDST.</p><p>
Facilitate response to media requests for interviews, photos and other information to ensure positive, accurate and timely promotion of UDST in line with UDST&rsquo;s initiatives.</p><p>
Support in media training for senior management and Academic Staff as required, to strengthen their role as UDST representatives on a need basis.</p><p>
Assist in the research and writing of speaking notes for UDST executives and external guests for corporate events and press conferences.</p><p>
Liaise with all business units to share information and identify the latest positive stories and accomplishments that can be communicated to strengthen brand positioning.</p><br>

Qualifications:

Communications Specialist (Qatari National only)

Responsibilities:<br>

Understanding legal principles and regulations governing various aspects of mass media, including print, broadcast, digital, and entertainment industries is important for ensuring legal compliance and non-infringement of the rights of others. This course teaches students about media laws in Qatar. Students learn about the regulatory framework guiding print, broadcast, and online media. Students learn about the legal implications of defamatory statements, contempt of court in media reporting, copyright law, licensing, fair use, and the protection of creative works in the media. Through lectures, case studies, and group discussions, students develop the skills necessary to understand how the media text they produce affects privacy and implicates the online security of featured individuals.</li></ul><br>

Qualifications:
<p>
Masters (or equivalent as designated and approved) in a relevant discipline from a recognized, accredited institution. A terminal degree in a closely related field may be considered.</p><p>
Knowledge of Qatar Media Law is must. This could be demonstrated by past teaching experiences.</p></div><p></p>

Instructor- Digital Communication and Media Production (Part time)

The Applied Research, Innovation and Economic Development Directorate invites applications for the position of Research Assistant to work on of the UDST Quantum Materials Project (ARG01-0516-230179).</p></div>
Responsibilities:
<p>
The selected candidate will contribute to material preparation and characterization of diverse quantum materials, encompassing transition metal dichalcogenides, innovative superconductors, and two-dimensional ferromagnets. Emphasis will be placed on investigating phase transitions within these materials, as they can be manipulated by external parameters. Special attention will be given to quantum materials with relevance to energy applications, such as superconductors and magnetic materials. Specifically, the prospective candidate will play a key role in advancing research to identify new materials and explore innovative methods to enhance superconducting performance, pushing the boundaries of current technology. Responsibilities include conducting tests using state-of-the-art laboratory equipment. The successful candidate will engage collaboratively with researchers and stakeholders, including local and international collaborators and institutions, in alignment with the goals of the project.</p>
Qualifications:

Applicants must hold a Bachelor's or master's in physics, Material Science and Engineering, or closely related disciplines from a reputable university. Successful candidates should possess a proven record of scholarly achievements and a demonstrated excellence in research. Reporting to the Head of the Department, you will plan, develop, and deliver courses in Physics, such as General Physics, Introductory Physics, Health Sciences Physics, as well as specific higher level Physics courses to support new programs of the institution and the College. You will evaluate student progress and manage the resources of the learning environment. In the framework of cross-school collaboration initiatives, you will participate in industry advisory committees and coordinate, manage and control projects within the specified program area. You will keep course portfolio documents required for program review and accreditation processes and engage in instructional development as well as new program development.
