The Student Central Services Department invites applications for the position of Head, Academic Learning Services.
Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Manager, Student Central Services, the successful candidate will oversee the academic support services provided to students and ensure students are provided with learning services throughout their academic journey. 
The successful candidate will do : 
1. Manage and oversee the development and daily operations of the academic learning services to
address the needs of the UDST student population, including tutoring, supplemental instruction, study skills, academic coaching, time management strategies and other resources.
2. Collaborate with the Colleges to assess and implement remediation support to Colleges and other
Business Units, related to academic learning and student success.
3. Establish and maintain relationships with Colleges, Business Units, and faculty to ensure that
academic support services align with the needs of students and academic programs.
4. Develop and deliver assessment and evaluation processes to determine the effectiveness of
academic support services.
5. Lead the development and continued enhancement of a comprehensive tutoring program for
students to improve their academic performance.
6. Manage current academic help centers on campus and devise additional support initiatives as
aligned to the University&rsquo;s strategy.
7. Develop and implement a comprehensive study skills program to equip students with the tools
necessary to succeed academically.
8. Research and develop up-to-date evidence-based strategies for student success and remediation for
students at-risk.
9. Develop and implement strategic and operational plans for the Academic Learning Services Unit, establishing KPIs and performance metrics.
10. Create and refine academic support strategies tailored to both undergraduate and graduate students, ensuring alignment with evolving student needs.
11. Leverage student success management technologies to enhance the delivery of academic learning services, while utilizing data analytics to inform decision-making and improve outcomes
12. Lead the development and implementation of an &ldquo;improvement plan development service&rdquo; to
address areas for improvement, set goals, and set action plan, with the ultimate goal of achieving
improved outcomes.
13. Plan and develop workshops for academic learning such as learn to learn, academic recovery, and
learning styles.
14. Provide professional development support and perform periodic performance reviews for direct
subordinates based on UDST&rsquo;s Employee Performance Management framework and take strict
measures on cases of poor performance.
Qualifications:

Education and Certifications:
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in relevant field is required.
Master&rsquo;s degree and professional qualification is preferred 
Experience:
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in related field. 
Language:
Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic language is required 
Other Required Skills 
Highly detail-oriented individual with a proactive can-do attitude to work is essential. A commitment to positive relationship building and effective working relationships across all levels of the organizations is required. Head, Academic Learning Services

Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will Collect and verify payments, recording them in PeopleSoft to ensure receipts are issued and retained to provide evidence of the transaction. Also, provide accurate, timely, and reliable financial reports to the Head, Accounting to support the administration of the accounting system. He/she will Support the preparation of timely invoices and process outstanding invoices and late fees to ensure all activities and documentation are accurate and properly authorized. Liaise with Accounts Payable Accountant to accurately process student refunds in alignment with UDST&rsquo;s procedures. The successful candidate will Support the upload and interface procedures for UDST&rsquo;s accounting software systems to ensure accurate revenue record keeping. Review, verify, and approve credit term applications and requests and generate credit memos in accordance with UDST accounting guidelines. He/ She will Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliation and reporting and participate in quarterly balance sheet review to provide regular revenue overviews. Moreover, provide support for audits, report filing, process improvement and compliance review in alignment with UDST policies and procedures. Assist with month-end closing process for accounts receivable, according to UDST accounting procedures. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Reporting to the Manager, Institutional Research, the Data Analysis and Research Specialist should be a proven leader with the skills and expertise necessary to support the Institutional Excellence Directorate in fully implementing the University&rsquo;s mission and vision.
Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the demonstration of institutional effectiveness through ongoing, integrated and institution-wide research-based activities by conducting data analysis on performance of individual training providers comparative across the entity.
The successful candidate will be responsible to assist in interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques, and providing analytical reports to support strategic initiatives and decision-making.
The successful candidate will contribute to the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet the section requirements, policies and standards. S/He will also produce regular and annual reports on Institutional Effectiveness trends and areas for improvement based on data analysis. 
The successful candidate will adhere to the set policies and procedures including conflict of interest, risk, complaints, data collection and management systems (including confidentiality) and report any breaches as necessary. 
The successful candidate will conduct regular and ad hoc research and studies on institutional-impacting issues to support ongoing assessment toward improving Institutional effectiveness including administrative programs, academic programs, student success and student services. 
The successful candidate will assist in developing and implementing database, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality. 
The successful candidate will assist in preparing institutional annual reports and publications and provide technical expertise on data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing. 
The successful candidate will maintain confidentiality compliance and follow all internal and governmental regulations regarding data management.
Qualifications:

Education and Certifications: 
Bachelor's Degree in Data Science and Analysis, Statistics or Software Engineering or another related field.
Master's Degree in a related field is preferred. 
Experience:
At least 5 years relevant to duties and responsibilities at the similar level is preferred. 
Language:
Fluency in written and spoken English language is required.
Fluency in written and spoken Arabic language is preferred.</div>
