<div>The Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment&rsquo;s Department of Horticulture seeks a Laboratory Technician Senior. The Lab Technician will be responsible for both instructed and self-directed horticultural work maintaining fruit and vegetable research crops. The work requires outside activity throughout the year in all weather and includes physical labor such as bending and lifting, climbing ladders, walking, and standing for extended periods of time. This position requires the ability to drive or operate a truck, utility vehicles, mowing, and other power equipment. Additional requirements include operating and maintaining sprayers, along with mixing and applying chemical pesticides. Technology competency includes basic computer skills, operating data sampling and field labeling equipment.<br>

The individual is expected to: work well with a team of horticulturists; follow research protocols as directed; fulfill crop production needs, e.g. planting, watering, fertilizing, weeding, pruning, training, canopy management, pest control, harvest, etc.; assist in the collection of field data and sample processing; maintain tools and equipment in working order; clean and organize orchard buildings and field office/laboratory; run software to create plant labels and perform data entry as directed; perform duties to maintain professional standards.<br>

<div><div><b>Job Summary</b></div>
<div>The University of Kentucky, in collaboration with the Kentucky Department for Public Health, is seeking a Rural Health Transformation (RHT) Kentucky Rural Dental Access Program Portfolio Manager to join the RHT leadership team. This position will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating a complex portfolio of Kentucky Rural Dental Access Program services and initiatives for the state. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the effective management &amp; measurement of successful use of resources, monitoring program performance, and implementing strategic improvements to enhance healthcare delivery and outcomes of the Kentucky Rural Dental Access program.<br>

Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):<br>
<br>
1. Provide comprehensive portfolio and program management support to RHTP director and leadership team, including administrative and project portfolio tasks.<br>
<br>
2. Consolidate and deliver monthly status updates.<br>
<br>
3. Offer project management (PM) and technical support to Kentucky Rural Dental Access Program area leads to ensure the standardization of project requirements and implementation strategies.<br>
<br>
4. Oversees and directs staff involved in measuring Kentucky Rural Dental Access Program success to measured goals as required.<br>
<br>
5. Supports leadership, implementing a monitoring process across Kentucky Rural Dental Access Program components, vendors and assisting with contract compliance.<br>
<br>
6. Provide guidance on project funding, liaising with Finance to secure and monitor funding utilization for all RHT projects.</div>

<div><div><b>Skills / Knowledge / Abilities</b></div>
<div>Experience with rural and public health dentistry initiatives and program development. Knowledge of federal waiver programs and/or federally funded programs. Experience with health/governmental contracting, oversight &amp; evaluation of program success across multiple governmental/healthcare related initiatives. Background in healthcare quality measurement and improvement, as well as success/demonstrated experience with programmatic/governmental information systems and data analytics.</div>

</div><br>
<div><div><b>Preferred Education/Experience</b></div>
<div>DMD, MPH, PhD, DrPH degree with focus on dentistry/oral health. Minimum of 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare or governmental health program management, preferably in Medicaid or other government healthcare health related policy programs.</div>
