<div>The University of Lynchburg, a private, regional university in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Central Virginia, is seeking applicants for a full-time, non-tenure track position in the Library for the academic year 2026-27. Salary and rank correspond to experience and educational credentials.
Specific Job Duties:<ul><li>
Actively manage the operations, facility, and services for the Access Services Department of the library.</li><li>
Serve as liaison to one or more academic schools or departments in the provision of collection development, instruction, and research services.</li><li>
Recommend policies, procedures, services, and enhancements to Access Services.</li><li>
Supervise, train, and evaluate regular and student staff.</li><li>
Work collaboratively and effectively as part of the library team and the University community, keeping current on best practices in policy, instruction, and technology for Access Services.</li><li>
Establish and maintain professional and ethical boundaries with students, co-workers, and others in all learning environments.</li><li>
Participate in University service and events.</li><li>
Perform other responsibilities that may be assigned by the University Librarian.</li></ul>

Required Qualifications:<ul><li>
Three years of academic library experience</li><li>
Supervisory experience</li><li>
Excellent communication skills</li></ul>
Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>
Previous scheduling and training experience.</li><li>
Familiarity with library software packages: Alma/Primo, Springshare, OCLC Tipasa</li></ul>
Education:<ul><li>
ALA accredited Masters of Library/Information Science required</li></ul>
