<p>The Department of Computer Science at the University of York has been a centre of excellence in teaching and research for over fifty years. We are a top 10 UK computer science department and a top 10 university (as ranked by the Times Higher) in the most recent national HE research assessment exercise (REF 2021). Also, the University of York has a Gold TEF teaching award. As such, we are one of only four universities in the UK that have both top 10 REF and gold TEF.</p>
<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Role</b></h3>
<p>As part of our on-going commitment to this teaching and research excellence, we are seeking to appoint a Lecturer who will complement and enhance the research, industrial engagement and teaching strengths of our Automated Software Engineering research group. </p><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Skills, Experience &amp; Qualification needed</b></h3>
<ul><li><p>PhD in Computer Science or equivalent experience</p>
</li>
<li><p>Appropriate academic professional and teaching qualifications or a willingness to complete the Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice</p>
</li>
<li><p>Specific knowledge of automated software engineering (e.g. model-based development, automated software analysis and testing, AI for software engineering (AI for SE), software engineering for AI (AI for SE)) that would enable supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students and research staff</p>
</li>
