In operation for more than 60 years, University Radiology staffs, manages and provides preliminary and final subspecialty interpretations and consultative support for hospitals, imaging centers and other medical facilities, and serves as the academic radiology faculty at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Our physicians interpret over 2.1 million radiology procedures per year.</div>
Responsibilities:
<p><b>
University Radiology is searching for a Full-Time Senior Accountant I to join our team at our Business Office in East Brunswick, NJ.</b></p><p><br>
</p><p>The Senior Accountant I reports to the Accounting Manager and is expected to cover a wide range of responsibilities. This role has the potential for growth within the department.</p><p></p><p><b><i><br>
Candidates must be available to train on-site at our East Brunswick Business office. This position has the potential to become hybrid after training has been completed and at the Manager&rsquo;s discretion.</i></b></p><p></p><p><b><br>
Essential Functions:</b></p><ul><li>
Responsible for accounting for assigned companies, including but not limited to:<ul><li>
Prepare monthly financial statements</li><li>
Prepare monthly internal variance analysis of financial results</li><li>
Review monthly bank reconciliations</li><li>
Prepare and post bank adjustments and transfers</li><li>
Prepare monthly close journal entries</li><li>
Review accounts payable transactions</li><li>
Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare work papers</li><li>
Review, code and approve invoices</li></ul></li><li>
Provide accounting support, including but not limited to:<ul><li>
Maintain and update master office space lease schedule</li><li>
Review monthly financial statement summary report</li><li>
Review inter-company transactions and review, code and approve monthly inter-company invoices</li><li>
Prepare bank covenant calculations</li><li>
Assist in providing information for budget preparation</li></ul></li><li>
Tax and Audit<ul><li>
Prepare tax and audit work papers</li><li>
Assist in audits</li></ul></li></ul><div></div><p><b><br>
Additional Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>
Back up support for accounting department functions</li><li>
Ad Hoc reports and other duties as assigned</li></ul><br>

Qualifications:
<ul><li>BA/BS degree in Accounting ; Graduate degree/CPA a plus</li><li>
Five plus years progressive Accounting experience</li><li>
Computer literate in financial application software</li><li>
Advanced skills in MS Excel required</li><li>
Strong knowledge of basic accounting practices including cash and accrual basis accounting</li><li>
Basic knowledge of healthcare and joint venture accounting a plus</li></ul>
