Purpose:Managing the procurement of raw materials, equipment, supplies, and finished goods for local manufacturing and 3rd party warehouses while ensuring optimal quality, cost, and delivery performance in accordance with safety and operational excellence standards.Position Responsibilities:&middot; Prepare and process purchase orders, requisitions, and other documentation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness&middot; Assist in ensuring accurate prices with suppliers, vendors, and carriers, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements&middot; Assist in monitoring and evaluation of supplier performance, quality, and reliability, conducting regular audits and inspections and implementing corrective actions as needed&middot; Assist in the development and maintenance of positive relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders, resolving any issues or disputes promptly and professionally&middot; Analyze demand forecasts, and inventory levels, identifying opportunities for cost savings, risk mitigation, and process improvement&middot; Track and report on key metrics such as spend analysis, savings, delivery performance, and supplier scorecards using relevant software tools and databases&middot; Coordinate with other departments such as production, quality, engineering, and sales for optimal alignment of procurement activities and business objectives&middot; Stay updated on the latest industry trends, best practices, and regulations, participating in professional development and training opportunitiesOther Duties:&middot; Communicate any supply chain, quality, or production issues promptly to the SC&amp;L Director for timely resolution&middot; Prioritize job quality by identifying areas for improvement and actively participate in weekly meetings with senior management to discuss concerns and potential enhancements&middot; Adhere to all safety protocols, promptly reporting any discrepancies, issues, or unsafe situations to the appropriate personnel&middot; Maintain a clean and organized work environment, promoting workplace efficiency and safetyQualifications:&middot; Possess an Associate&rsquo;s or higher degree in business, supply chain, or a related field&middot; Have a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant industrial experience, preferably in the chemical manufacturing industry&middot; Exhibit strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills, enabling effective procurement and cost management&middot; Demonstrate proficiency in supply chain management, contract management, and vendor management, using relevant software tools and systems&middot; Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders&middot; Capable of working both independently and as an integral part of a team&middot; Display a strong commitment to pursuing a long-term career in the manufacturing industryPhysical Requirements:&middot; Ability to occasionally lift and handle items weighing over 50 lbs without assistance&middot; Potential exposure to hazardous chemicals and active chemical ingredients, requiring adherence to safety protocols and proceduresCompensation and Benefits Package&middot; Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance&middot; Life, Long Term Disability, Short Term Disability, and AD&amp;D Insurance&middot; Paid Holidays, Vacation, and Sick Leave&middot; 401k PlanEqual Opportunity Employer Women/Minorities/Disabilities/VeteransJob Type: Full-timePay: From $55,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Health savings account</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
