The Team

The Analytics team plays the critical role of providing analytical capability across Upstart's organization to enable data-driven decision making. We leverage our analytical and technical skills to support our partners with a multitude of services, some of which include understanding our underwriting models and presenting on trends in our loan performance, analyzing market size opportunities, creating financial models, developing our business intelligence pipeline to enable self-service reporting, and architecting/automating of work processes.

As the Staff Analyst on the Home Analytics team at Upstart, you will be responsible for understanding, presenting, and driving best practices in product analytics and for developing our business intelligence pipeline to enable better decision making. You will partner with our Product, Engineering, and Machine Learning teams to drive understanding, insights and decision making.

How you&rsquo;ll make an impact
<ul>
<li>Conduct quantitative analysis to test hypotheses about our users and the way they interact with our product</li>
<li>Administer A/B tests, monitor results and generate product and business recommendations</li>
<li>Build data and analytical foundation for product analytics, including data pipelines and automated reporting</li>
<li>Partner with Product and Engineering teams to test and implement product changes</li>

Minimum Qualifications
<ul>
<li>8+ years work experience in increasingly senior analytical roles in technology and finance industry</li>
<li>Experience in product or growth analytics, proficient in with Python / R, Google Sheets / Excel, SQL</li>
<li>Experience working with large datasets, data modeling, and data pipelines using tools like Databricks, DBT, Looker, Snowflake, Redshift, Tableau, Mode</li>
<li>Experience deriving actionable insights from analysis and analytical storytelling</li>
<li>Degree in Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science or other quantitative fields</li>
</ul>
Preferred Qualifications
