The Fine Grind Plant Operator role will have the responsibility of maintaining production, maintenance, quality, and safety within the Aggregates' Operations function. This position is a part of our Fine Grind facility. 
 
Essential Functions<ul><li>
Working in a safe manner which includes wearing required PPE; following all of MSHA and MCC safety policies and reporting any safety issues</li><li>
Keeping work area clean, safe and free of hazardous situations</li><li>
Prepare materials for filling bags, trucks, and/or railcars</li><li>
Verifying that final product is not contaminated and free of foreign particles. Reporting any such deficiency or observations to management and QA department is required</li><li>
Communicating and assisting customers and/or haulers to ascertain that their needs are being met</li><li>
Conducting daily documented inspection of equipment, confirming that it meets MSHA regulations</li><li>
Following MSHA's and the company's procedures and best practices</li><li>
Daily equipment needs and maintenance; Scheduling and communicating with the mechanics so the equipment will be ready for operation at the scheduled time</li><li>
Directing employees, vendors and contractors on daily tasks/activities that they are assigned to maintain Safety, Quality and efficient Productivity of the operation</li><li>
Receiving parts, delivering/storing parts in proper locations on site</li><li>
Making certain the packing slips/paperwork are initialed as received and submitted in a timely fashion</li><li>
Continuous communication with the Quality Assurance department to verify the plant is meeting the quality requirements and working with QA towards resolution to correct any issues that might arise</li><li>
Operating various pieces of heavy equipment</li><li>
Performing laborer and cleanup duties</li><li>
Performing various maintenance duties</li><li>
May be called upon to assist with other duties not outlined which will be determined by the Management Team</li><li>
Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to continuously growing in alignment with the Company&rsquo;s core values, competencies, and skills.</li></ul>
Education Qualifications<ul><li>
Required High School or Equivalent</li></ul> 
Skills and Abilities<ul><li>
Must maintain regular, dependable attendance and a high level of performance</li><li>
Follow written and verbal directions to complete assigned tasks on schedule</li><li>
Understand basic math</li><li>
Working knowledge of US Aggregates Safety and Operating principles</li><li>
Complete all applicable documentation, recordkeeping, and daily inventory</li><li>
Participate in safety briefings, job briefings, and any other pass on information from team members, management, or customer</li><li>
Must be able to work with a team, take direction and follow work rules, as well as take on additional job responsibilities as needed or assigned</li><li>
Flexibility required; ability to work days, nights, weekends</li><li>
Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements</li><li>
Must possess and exhibit excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently to get things done</li><li>
Strong welding, torching, and maintenance skills preferred</li></ul> 
Working Conditions/Physical Demands<ul><li>
Must have the ability to continuously stand or walk on level or uneven ground</li><li>
Must have the ability to ascend and descend ladders, stairways, and incline catwalks and work at elevated heights</li><li>
Must have the ability to bend, crouch, and/or kneel at the waist or knees</li><li>
Must have the ability to lift, push, pull, or carry at least 50 lbs.</li><li>
Must wear all necessary PPE and safety equipment</li><li>
Must have the ability to work outside the majority of the time and withstand extreme weather conditions including exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions caused by the weather.</li></ul>
