Planning and Design: Conducting feasibility studies and evaluations for water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, and stormwater infrastructure projects. They'll also be involved in creating plans and specifications for both new facilities and upgrades to existing ones.Construction Support: During construction, the project engineer provides support by reviewing submissions from contractors, visiting the construction site to observe progress, and clarifying design details if needed.Project Management: Project engineers may also assist with project management tasks, which could involve budgeting, scheduling, and ensuring the project stays on track.
