<div>Position Summary
The Core Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting, analyzing, and enhancing the Credit Union&rsquo;s core processing system and its integrated applications. This role provides hands-on experience in system configuration, automation scripting, and process improvement. The analyst will collaborate with IT and business units to ensure the Credit Union&rsquo;s systems operate efficiently, securely, and in alignment with organizational goals.
This position is ideal for someone with a strong technical foundation, an interest in financial systems, and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Analyze, configure, and support the Credit Union&rsquo;s core processing system and related applications.</li><li>
Develop, test, and maintain automation and batch scripts using tools to streamline processes.</li><li>
Write and optimize SQL queries and reports to extract, validate, and analyze data.</li><li>
Collaborate with business units to document functional requirements and assist in implementing configuration changes.</li><li>
Assist with system upgrades, patching, and testing to ensure smooth deployment.</li><li>
Support system integration projects with third-party vendors.</li><li>
Troubleshoot system issues, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.</li><li>
Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, procedures, and system workflows.</li><li>
Participate in disaster recovery testing and ensure system integrity and uptime.</li><li>
Stay current with updates, releases, and best practices for core system platforms.</li></ul>
Required Qualifications<ul><li>
Associate or Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li>
Hands-on experience with SQL (queries, joins, data analysis).</li><li>
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.</li><li>
Ability to learn new systems and tools quickly and independently.</li><li>
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.</li></ul>
Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>
Experience working in a credit union or financial institution environment.</li><li>
Understanding of API integrations and system automation concepts.</li><li>
Basic understanding of networking, database concepts, or IT security principles.</li><li>
Foundational understanding of PowerShell, Java, SQL, or XML scripting.</li></ul>
