Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for an Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Shady Grove Fertility in Stony Point, Virginia.
<ul>
<li> Schedule: Monday through Friday, between 6:45 AM to 4:30 PM with occasional weekends and holidays.</li>
</ul>

In this role, the Nurse Practitioner will:
<ul>
<li>Educate patients and couples about the causes of infertility and discusses necessary evaluation, treatment and/or procedure plans</li>
<li>Perform pre-procedure and post-procedure assessment and teaching</li>
<li>Consult with patients regarding treatment protocols, medications, and/or required testing or procedures</li>
<li>Assist as needed in surgical cases and transfers</li>
<li>Makes necessary measurements &amp; calculations while preforming ultrasound procedures</li>

Qualifications and Skills Include:

In this role, the Medical Assistant will:

<li>Perform high volume of phlebotomy</li>
<li>Maintain supplies for the blood drawing stations</li>
<li>Assist with the clinical care of fertility patients</li>
<li>Ensure lab specimens are sent to proper labs</li>
<li>Provide patient/couple counseling, procedure teaching, communicates physician orders and instructions</li>
<li>Provide pre and post op education</li>
<li>Perform semen washes and sets up for IUIs</li>
<li>Take vital signs and provide general clinical assistance</li>
<li>Utilize the computer in entering labs and printing labels</li>
<li>Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients and patients&rsquo; families</li>
<li>Work independently to assure the program goals are achieved</li>
<li>Support and promote excellence in customer service</li>
</ul>
What You&rsquo;ll Bring

<li>High School diploma</li>
<li>Completion of a formal MA program; preferred</li>
<li>Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills</li>
<li>Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail, demonstrated ability to follow-through, and high degree of comfort with computer applications, accuracy and speed with data entry is required</li>
<li>Minimum of one year of prior experience in healthcare and familiarity with medical terminology</li>
</ul>
