<div>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop new Stock Yards Exclusive Brand products that contribute to EB profitable growth and overall success, with focus on innovation, aligned with the overall US Foods strategy.<ul><li>
Participate in the building of the EB Center of Plate (COP) category strategy in conjunction with Category Mgrs. where it pertains to Stock Yards. Direct SY concept development.</li><li>
Conduct research and development to improve COP products.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations</li><li>
Develop new COP products and optimize processing techniques.</li><li>
Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in COP items</li><li>
Perform quality control tests on COP products</li><li>
Use strong technical expertise, portfolio analysis and insight to identify areas for innovation, claims/nutritional potential, improved profitability.</li><li>
Assist in coordinating product cuttings and demonstrations; develop sales and marketing strategies and proposals for internal and external teams on products and services, conducting market research to determine customer needs and provide information to sales staff.</li><li>
Serve as a Stock Yards Collective product development subject matter expert, with in-depth knowledge of manufacturing capabilities of all Stock Yards locations.</li><li>
Collaborate with category, marketing, FSQA, Stock Yards Collective (SYC) operations and other functions to drive project potential and assure aligned direction on priorities.</li><li>
Identify and recommend relevant SYC manufacturing location based on knowledge of equipment capabilities and understanding of distribution impact.
</li><li>Maintain solid technical and business understanding of the competitive set, and emerging technology to help identify gap or opportunity areas for technical point of difference in US Foods' products. Drive next generation manufacturing capabilities discussions.</li><li>
Develop best-in-class nutritional attributes, formulas and product and ingredient specifications that meet corporate, regulatory, and consumer/customer needs. Ensure that brand integrity and brand strategies are maintained. This will include bench work at relevant SYC location and/or Rosemont and communication with outside ingredient suppliers to identify the best sources.</li><li>
Ensure that projects are delivered with the highest quality to the business on agreed timelines and within budget and are communicated with senior leadership and other stakeholders.</li><li>
Provide support for marketing events and promotions.</li><li>

RELATIONSHIPS<ul><li>
Internal: Interact with cross-functional team in Rosemont (Category, FSQA, Marketing, Comms, Sales) as well as operations and project management contacts across all SYC manufacturing locations.</li><li>
External: Maintain relationships with relevant ingredient suppliers, such as seasoning manufacturers, to assist in identifying best options for development and commercialization. SYC Product Developer may also be asked to present new items and ideas to SYC customers.</li></ul>
WORK ENVIRONMENT<ul><li>
This role will be based onsite in a SYC facility and also supports multiple Stock Yards Collective locations and as such, will spend significant time in refrigerated manufacturing facilities as well as US Foods Rosemont head office.</li></ul>
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
<ul><li>Minimum 5 years&rsquo; experience in hands-on product development and new product innovation, with extensive product development/ in Beef, Pork, Poultry or Deli. This includes both bench development and commercialization scale-up.</li></ul>

Main Ingredients of the Job
<ul><li>Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times</li><li>

1. Own the execution of Area finance strategy 
<ul><li>Advisor on long-term business financial and strategic planning to the Area President and Area functional leaders for future growth opportunities aligned with Company Long Range Plan (LRP).</li><li>Collaborate with all other functional partners in driving improved financial results and assist on plays to support strategic initiatives.</li><li>Assess financial performance and initiate strategic actions to drive results</li><li>Develop appropriate financial targets/outcomes through an understanding of key operational drivers and be able to discuss and support with the Area Leadership Team</li><li>Own P&amp;L management through strategic decisions to manage costs and improve efficiencies</li><li>Provide clear visibility and comprehensive guidance to the Area leadership team in meeting financial outcomes</li><li>Demonstrate analytical foresight to help make immediate decisions that will positively impact the future of the business</li></ul> 

2. Act as a trusted advisor for all things Finance 
<ul><li>Partner with Controller&rsquo;s Group, Area Finance Manager, Finance Support Team (FST), and VP of Finance Field Leader to create and deliver timely and accurate financial reports.</li><li>Own and coordinate with Area functional leaders the annual business planning and monthly forecast for the Area.
</li><li>Be the gatekeeper for the Area team on all financial processes that affect results and highlight any potential risks and opportunities</li><li>Establish credibility and trust with leaders across their area by building relationships and understanding individual needs and pain points</li><li>Operate as a true business partner by bringing an end-to-end value chain perspective, broad business acumen, and an independent point of view</li><li>Act as an ultimate source of truth with financial data and has analytical data readily available to guide discussion and decisions</li><li>Be resourceful by leveraging all available tools and information to learn and help execute as a trusted financial advisor</li><li>Manage working capital and review balance sheet health quarterly with corporate stakeholders</li><li>Lead financial acumen training for all Area and DC management to improve understanding on how they contribute to the Area financial results</li></ul> 

3. Collaborate with and influence Area leaders to understand financial complexities and make sound decisions

</li><li>Drive profitable sales growth by reviewing, providing guidance, and approving all local customer contracts and incentive agreements.</li><li>Collaborate with Sales Excellence, Area Sales management (Local and National), and Revenue Management teams in Customer profitability decisions.</li><li>Understand critical levers to ensure the annual business plans are met through review of daily and weekly results dashboards, analyze data, provide insightful explanations of variances / trends, and coordinate action plans.</li><li>Responsible for leading an effective Inventory Adjustments routine by collaborating with Operations, Merchandising, and Inventory Control in attaining the company targets for damage, spoilage and shrink.</li><li>Collaborate with AVPMM and MRO to ensure inventory is aligned with the Company&rsquo;s DIOH requirements and minimize nonproductive inventory.
</li><li>Partner with the Credit organization to support Sales growth while minimizing risk and managing working capital.</li></ul>

6. Responsible for all field related SOX controls for the Area Hub and DCs. Support control environment for all DCs in the Area by reporting and correcting any control deficiencies. 
 
7. Complete ad hoc projects, analysis and initiatives as requested.

Various Area Hub staff including inventory control clerks, IT contractors and finance manager (with their reports). In market DCs there is virtual supervision of IT contractors. Indirect reporting relationship with the credit manager and coordinators.
