You&rsquo;ll use both your clinical skills and your administrative strengths.  </b><b>Medical Assistant 2 </b><b>Essential Functions/Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Welcome patients, room them, take vitals, update medical history, and prepare them for exams<br>
</li>
<li>Assist providers with injections, wound care, nail care, minor procedures, and in-office surgeries<br>
</li>
<li>Apply DME, strappings, and pads; take X-rays; prepare and submit lab specimens<br>
</li>
<li>Clean and sterilize instruments, stock rooms, and maintain daily supply readiness<br>
</li>
<li>Answer phones, schedule appointments, manage provider calendars, and handle patient check-in/out<br>
</li>
<li>Verify insurance, referrals, and authorizations; collect copays and patient balances<br>
</li>
<li>Maintain and update patient records through scanning, faxing, and data entry<br>
</li>
<li>Support billing follow-ups, orthotics tracking, and end-of-day documentation</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Medical Assistant 2 </b><b>Required Skills and Experience:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>High School Diploma or GED<br>
</li>
<li>Medical Assistant program completion or 2+ years of clinical experience<br>
</li>
<li>CMA or RMA certification<br>
</li>
<li>Strong multitasking, communication, and customer service skills<br>
</li>
<li>Experience with EMR systems, medical terminology, and basic insurance processes<br>
</li>
<li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and assist wherever needed<br>
</li>
<li>Ability to travel between local office locations, as needed<br>
</li>
<li>Technologically savvy; proficient in Microsoft 365 products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams</li>

<li>Facilitate patient flow by notifying providers of arrivals, monitoring delays, and communicating updates to patients and staff</li>
<li>Maintain and update patient records through data entry, faxing, and scanning</li>
<li>Collect payments, including deductibles, coinsurance, balances, copays, and sales of OTC items</li>
<li>Review and update accounts receivable/payable changes since prior visits</li>
<li>Maintain an accurate log of orthotics received; contact patients for follow-ups and schedule appointments accordingly</li>
<li>Monitor office supply inventory, place orders, and coordinate equipment maintenance and service</li>
<li>Verify insurance eligibility, referrals, and authorizations in preparation for next-day appointments</li>
<li>Prepare and process daily reports, deposit slips, and upload financial records to shared files</li>
<li>Review billing claims and denials; gather required information from providers or patients to resolve issues</li>
<li>Support additional office tasks and projects as needed</li>
