</div></div><div><div><b>Responsibilities:</b>
</div></div><ul><li><div>Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients</div></li><li><div>
Interviews patients, measures vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height and records information in patients&rsquo; charts.</div></li><li><div>
Drapes patients with covering and positions instruments and equipment</div></li><li><div>
Cleans and sterilizes instruments</div></li><li><div>
Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials</div></li><li><div>
Operates electrocardiograph (EKG), treadmill, and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic test or calls medical facility or department to schedule patients for tests</div></li><li><div>
Gives injections or treatments and performs routine laboratory tests</div></li><li><div>
Screens telephone calls for physicians</div></li><li><div>
Preps patients for Treadmill Stress Tests</div></li><li><div>
Performs Treadmill Stress Tests as required</div></li><li><div>
Returns patient phone calls</div></li><li><div>
Calls in patient prescriptions</div></li><li><div>
Answers triage calls</div></li><li><div>
Travel required</div></li><li><div>

Requirements:
</b></div></div><ul><li><div>Completion of a Medical Assistant program</div></li><li><div>
Cardiac Experience is preferred but not required</div></li><li><div>
Knowledge in medical terminology

<div><div><div>US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Medical Assistant to join our team at HeartPlace located in Bedford, TX to assist Provider(s) in daily operations of his/her clinic and patient care.
</div></div><div><div><b>Responsibilities:
</b></div></div><div><ul><li>Records vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height in patients&rsquo; charts.
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Work with the medical assistant tech to ensure patients are roomed in a timely manner
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Operates electrocardiograph (EKG), treadmill, and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic test
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Fill out testing orders per physician
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Send out prescriptions per physician orders
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Orders &amp; explain testing to the patient
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Gives injections or treatments and performs routine laboratory tests
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Set up procedures with hospitals to include filling out hospital form and faxing them back
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Review procedure and instructions with the patient
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Escort patients to check-out
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Check voicemails &amp; enter messages into eCW</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Return patient calls/tasks, to acknowledge receipt of the voicemail, and that an answer is being sought
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Ensure that charts have been checked, and the proper paperwork is included
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Travel required&middot; Prepare bag for travel to satellite clinics
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Safeguard the privacy of patient health information
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Other related duties as assigned</li></ul></div><div><div><b>
Requirements:
</b></div></div><div><ul><li>Completion of a Medical Assistant program is required</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Cardiac Experience is preferred but not required</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Knowledge in medical terminology
