Position Summary:
As a Medical Scribe / Receptionist, you would help create a more efficient office by capturing all patient clinical information and accurately document it in the electronic medical record. By efficiently and effectively doing so, you will help improve clinical outcomes and reduce patient wait times. In addition, you would ensure that the patient has an excellent service experience.
Position Details:<ul><li><ul><li><ul><li>
This is a float position based in the Bronx. Specific work locations will be discussed during the interview.</li><li>
Candidates must be available to work between 7:00 AM and 7:30 PM, including weekends as needed.</li><li>
Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.</li><li>
Compensation: $20&ndash;$24 per hour.</li></ul></li></ul></li></ul>
Key Responsibilities:<ul><li><ul><li>
Assist in the smooth operation of a Healthcare practice and accompany the physician into the patient examination room in order to transcribe/translate a history and physical exam, and accurately document the physician&rsquo;s encounter with the patient and others present.</li><li>
List all proper diagnoses and symptoms as well as follow up instructions and prescriptions as dictated by the physician.</li><li>
Transcribe patient orders including laboratory tests, radiology tests, medications, etc.</li><li>
Document any procedures performed by the physician.</li><li>
Maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times.</li><li>
Adhere to employer work practices.</li><li>
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff and managements.</li><li>
Effectively cope with typical job stress.</li><li>
Document work processes as required.</li><li>
Perform other duties as assigned.</li><li>
This position will be cross-trained to handle receptionist duties as needed.</li></ul></li></ul> 

Requirements 
<ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent, required
</li><li>6-months experience as a Medical Scribe or experience or equivalent education and experience, required
</li><li>Individual seeking to continue higher education in medical school or other healthcare profession, preferred
</li><li>Optional: Seeking to continue higher education in medical school or other healthcare profession</li><li>
Spanish and English required

Position Summary:
As a Medical Assistant, you would balance the needs of patients and maintain efficient work flow of the office as well as provide support to the physician in all facets of medical procedures &ndash; before during and after. In addition, you would ensure that the patient has an excellent service experience.
Position Details:<ul><li>
Location: This is a float role, candidate must be able to commute to multiple locations in the Bronx and Manhattan. Specific clinic assignments will be discussed during the interview.</li><li>
Schedule: Full-time, hours vary between 7am-7pm; must be able to work weekends.</li><li>
This position requires to be National Registered / Certified Medical Assistant.</li><li>
Spanish and English speaking required.</li><li>
Compensation: $20-$24/hr.</li></ul>
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Greet patients and escort them to the examination rooms; assist patients with the completion of forms as necessary</li><li>
Become familiar with clinic computer hardware and software and use according to company policies</li><li>
Schedule appointments and accommodate patient appointment needs, such as ordering transportation, rescheduling, etc.</li><li>
Perform clerical work as needed, i.e., copying, filing, faxing, etc.</li><li>
Comply with patient needs at all times and ensure all questions are answered</li><li>
Maintain procedure rooms by ensuring that they are neat and ready for use at all times</li><li>
Assist doctors during Endovenous Laser Therapy procedures in accordance with instructions and individual doctor preferences</li><li>
Prepare patients before procedures and clean up after</li><li>
Ensure patient receipt of post-procedure instructions and how to obtain medication if needed</li><li>
Monitor supply levels and replace as needed</li><li>
Apply knowledge of sterile techniques and OSHA regulations</li><li>
Prepare IV solution</li><li>
Train new staff as needed</li><li>
Assist ultrasound staff as needed</li><li>
Transport supplies or equipment as needed</li><li>
Performs additional duties as assigned</li><li>
Pay Rate: $20.00-$24.00 per hour</li></ul> 

Requirements

Medical Assistant Certification Requited</li><li>
Able to work Weekends.</li><li>
High School Diploma or GED
</li><li>1+ years of relevant experience</li><li>
