<div>The Production Manager is based out of USALCOs La Porte production facility, located at 9401 Strang Road, La Porte, TX 77571. The individual in this position will be working a Monday-Friday schedule and will also be expected to work overtime on an as-needed basis.
The Production Manager will lead the facility to achieve key metrics such as Safety, Quality, Inventory, Delivery, and Cost. The Production Manager guides activities in cross-functional areas including production planning and control, total quality management, systems, manufacturing, equipment and facilities engineering, material management, transportation management.
Essential DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES:
The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following:<ul><li>
Enforce company and plant-specific policies and best practices regarding safety and environmental compliance. The Production Manager must be seen as a safety leader.</li></ul><ul><li>
Work with manager on improving 5S and follow up actions.</li><li>
Oversee and provide training (including safety training) for new employees and supplemental training for experienced hourly employees.</li><li>
Identify and implement opportunities to improve production efficiencies to improve quality, increase output, and reduce operating costs.</li><li>
Oversee the implementation of small capital projects.</li><li>
Manage/schedule raw material receipts and final product shipments.</li><li>
Directs daily quality control activities to ensure that in-process and finished goods analytical results meet specifications.
</li><li>Oversee efficient scheduling of transportation assets to ensure customer on-time deliveries</li><li>
Ensure an acceptable level of housekeeping is maintained throughout the facility.</li><li>
Work with maintenance to insure top performance of the production areas.
</li></ul>Qualifications:
Required:<ul>
<li>A strong commitment to safety and environmental excellence.</li>
<li>Experience in a chemicals manufacturing environment preferred.</li>
<li>Minimum 5 years experience directly supervising hourly employees desired.</li>
<li>Experience in a 24/7 operating environment is a plus.</li>
<li>Experience with specialty batch chemicals manufacturing is a plus.</li></ul>
