Reviews visit information for purposes of identifying correct codes for billing purposes.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Codes ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for all medical records according to guidelines and hospital modifications. Code accurately and abstract records using ICD-10-CM and CPT coding conventions for all Providers involvedin the patient&rsquo;s medical record. Utilizes 3M&rsquo;s Coding and Reimbursement system encoder. Maintains compliance with HIPAA plus local, and state guidelines. Demonstrates attention to detail; achieves the determined production and quality expectations. Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and maintains workflow standards. Communicates effectively with staff and management at all times. Performs special projects as assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, &amp; ABILITY REQUIREMENTS Two years Emergency Dept., Outpatient clinic, and Ancillary. In-patient acute care hospital preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, E&amp;M coding, surgical coding, ICD-10-CM, standard hospital operations and financial services preferred but not required. Displays excellent oral and written communication skills; possesses excellent organizational and follow up skills; meets deadlines. Demonstrates the ability to work in a fast-paced environment; can multi-task. Displays the ability to keyboard 30 wpm; is proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook Physical ability to sit at a workstation for 2 hours without interruption. Possesses a high school diploma or equivalent. Must successfully pass a criminal history screeningRequired Certifications: CPC &ndash; Certified Physicians Coder CIC CPC-H/COC - Certified Outpatient Coder CCSPay: From $26.00 per hourExperience:<ul><li>Outpatient: 2 years (Preferred)</li><li>ICD coding: 1 year (Preferred)</li></ul>License/Certification:<ul><li>Certified Professional Coder (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: Remote
