Quality Engineering Technician

We&rsquo;re looking for a Quality Engineering Technician to support manufacturing operations in a high-precision machining environment. In this role, you&rsquo;ll partner with quality engineers and production teams to ensure parts meet specifications, investigate quality issues, and keep inspections and documentation on track.
If you enjoy working with data, inspecting parts, solving problems, and improving processes, this role puts you right in the middle of the action on the shop floor.
What You'll Do<ul><li>Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections</li><li>Support root cause investigations and corrective actions</li><li>Collect and analyze manufacturing quality data</li><li>Assist with FPQ documentation (bubble drawings, CAV forms, certifications)</li><li>Track nonconformances and help drive issue resolution</li><li>Maintain inspection reports, calibration tracking, and quality records</li><li>Work with engineering and production teams to improve product quality</li></ul>
What We're Looking For<ul><li>Associate degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Quality, or related field &mdash; or equivalent experience</li><li>2+ years of quality, inspection, or manufacturing support experience</li><li>Ability to read engineering drawings and use inspection tools</li><li>Familiarity with SPC or quality data analysis a plus</li><li>Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset</li></ul>
Bonus Points<ul><li>Experience in precision machining or aerospace manufacturing</li><li>Exposure to quality systems or FPQ documentation</li><li>ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT)</li></ul>

Requirements:

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Provides quality assurance and technical support to manufacturing and quality engineering teams to ensure product and process quality meets customer and business requirements. Assists with inspections, documentation, data analysis, and process monitoring in support of manufacturing operations. 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>
Supports product quality activities to ensure parts and processes meet defined specifications and requirements</li><li>
Assists with data collection and analysis related to manufacturing processes and quality metrics</li><li>
Supports continuous improvement activities by gathering process data and assisting with root cause investigations</li><li>
Provides technical support to quality engineering and manufacturing teams to meet LEAN and customer requirements</li></ul>
SPECIFIC DUTIES ASSIGNED:QUALITY ENGINEERING<ul><li>
Assists with implementing and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) and related documentation</li><li>
Collects and organizes quality data for analysis by quality engineers and leadership</li><li>
Assists with failure investigations and supports corrective and preventative action activities</li><li>
Monitors supplier quality documentation and assists with tracking supplier performance issues</li><li>
Performs routine statistical data collection and assists with process capability studies (Cpk, Ppk)</li><li>
Supports preparation of quality reports, presentations, and documentation</li><li>
Assists with tracking and follow-up of internal, supplier, and customer nonconformances</li><li>
Documents and tracks corrective actions to ensure timely resolution</li><li>
Maintains detailed quality records and documentation for manufacturing and engineering processes</li><li>
Supports First Product Qualification (FPQ) and documentation requirements including:</li><li>
Bubble drawings</li><li>
CAV (Characteristics &amp; Accountability Verification) forms</li><li>
Material, process, and conformance certifications</li><li>
Inspection reports and supporting documentation</li><li>
Performs inspections and audits of products and processes according to defined sampling plans including:</li><li>
First article inspection</li><li>
Work-in-process inspection</li><li>
Borescope inspection</li><li>
Final inspection</li><li>
Gage calibration tracking and recordkeeping</li><li>
Supports management of multiple FPQ packages and documentation deadlines</li></ul>
MANUFACTURING SUPPORT<ul><li>
 Assists with development and maintenance of routers, inspection criteria, and process documentation</li><li>
 Works with engineering and manufacturing teams to support product quality requirements</li><li>
 Assists in identifying potential quality or process issues during manufacturing operations</li><li>
 Provides feedback to engineering and quality teams regarding inspection results and process trends</li><li>
 Maintains and updates quality procedures, work instructions, and related documentation</li></ul>
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>
Not ApplicableEDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE:</li><li>
Minimum (2) year degree in Mechanical, Process, or Manufacturing engineering or other related field</li><li>
1-3 years of applicable engineering/quality experience in a manufacturing environment</li><li>
Exposure to Computer-Aided-Design (CAD), Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Failure Effects Mode Analysis (FEMA), PPAP and APQP desired</li></ul>
CERTIFICATES, LICENCES, &amp; REGISTRATIONS:<ul><li>
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) Certification preferred</li></ul>

Ability to create and maintain documentation for reports, procedures, and databases</li><li>
Excellent writing/speaking skills and the ability to communicate professionally, objectively, and effectively</li><li>
Sufficient ability to read, write and speak in English and be understood; and to follow instructions</li><li>
Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to be able to read and view paperwork, printouts, ledgers, computer screens, etc.</li><li>
Sufficient manual dexterity to type and operate office equipment as related to the fulfilling assigned duties</li><li>
Ability to understand and fully support the company Mission, Safety and Quality policies to the letter of each</li></ul>
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:<ul><li>
Must have speaking ability; and sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics to enable and adequately perform the job</li><li>
Must be able to stand/sit continuously daily and twist, turn, bend, and reach freely without pain or discomfort
</li><li>Must have sufficient dexterity in both hands and arms to perform routine typing and use of office equipment</li><li>
Physical activity: Sitting, walking, standing, typing, holding, grasping, etc. approximately 85% of time</li><li>

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Job activities are generally performed in a lighted and ventilated office and/or factory environment.
