JOB SUMMARY
 Manages daily operational activities, priorities, problems, staffing and workloads. Provides status reports to pharmacy management effectively communicating issues, concerns, and suggestions. JOB DUTIES
 Pre-register/Register patients for scheduled/unscheduled services, inpatient/outpatient procedures within all applicable hospital based areas.
 
Interview patient(s) and/or their representative at workstation or bedside to obtain demographic/insurance information or verify information already on file. All registrations performed utilizing available up to date technology (i.e. carts/workstation on wheels, tablets, etc)
 
Obtain copies of necessary identification and insurance cards.
 
Document appropriate information in the registration system based upon departmental documentation standards.
 
Accurate and timely deployment of legal and compliance consent forms and documents.
 
Initiates the Advance Directive process when applicable.
 
Ensures all patients are continually informed of their visit status when services are delayed.
 
Initiate, obtain and/or update insurance verification as appropriate for patient services.
 
Coordinate accurate patient data to determine financial obligation. Collection of insurance co-payments, deductible amounts, self-pay deposits and patient balances from the patient/guarantor. Request full or partial payment for services rendered according to collection policies.
 
Follows all guidelines set forth in the Cash Handling policy. Produce paperwork on each patient for distribution to appropriate departments.
 
Obtain ABN's and/or non-covered notice forms when applicable.
 
Learn and maintain up to date knowledge of registration system user operations, front line workflows and policies and procedures
 
Deliver superior customer service, representing UT Southwestern in a positive and professional manner to patients, colleagues and the community following AIDET guidelines.
 
Greets and direct/escort patients and/or visitors to appropriate location, providing information as needed or obtain transport assistance.

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
 
Job Duties Develop and direct a comprehensive Research Security Program that ensures compliance with state and federal regulations as well as institutional policies. Collaborate with key institutional offices such as Office of Compliance, Sponsored Programs, Conflict of Interest, Information Security, Legal Affairs, Office of International Affairs, and Export Control, to identify and mitigate research security risks, particularly related to foreign influence and sensitive research. Provide guidance to investigators and departments regarding secure research practices, international collaborations, foreign talent programs, and requirements for disclosure. Partner with Information Resources and Information Security teams to assess and maintain secure computing environments that meet federal requirements, particularly for sponsored clinical research involving sensitive patient data. Review and approve international travel, shipments, and technical data exports in accordance with state and federal research security requirements, export control laws and institutional policies. Lead institutional compliance with U.S. export control regulations (ITAR, EAR) as they apply to biomedical research, clinical trials, international collaborations, and the transfer of controlled technologies or data. Oversee the development and delivery of institution-wide training program on research security, cybersecurity, and export control compliance for faculty, staff, and trainees. Monitor federal regulatory changes and emerging threats; advise senior leadership on impact and institutional preparedness. Lead investigations of research-related security breaches or compliance concerns in coordination with Legal, Compliance, and Information Security offices. Prepare and submit required reports and certifications to state and federal agencies, sponsors and internal leadership. Manage research security personnel and coordinate interdepartmental initiatives supporting secure research. Perform other duties as assigned.

Certification or experience with any other Epic applications will also be considered, if not currently certified in a clinical application, the expectation is to obtain Epic proficiency with Honors in a clinical application within 30 days of hire.
 
JOB DUTIES
 Manages Information Resources section, such as Network Services, Software Systems Programming, Computer Training, etc. following university policies and procedures and using effective management, communication, and customer service skills to develop and ensure effective program.
 Develops, revises, recommends, and interprets policies and procedures for section to ensure all applicable laws and governmental guidelines are followed and that employees are treated in equitable manner.
 Coordinates various projects and programs for section ensuring all tasks are completed by established deadlines and to ensure that quality customer service is provided for faculty and staff.
 Assists campus departments in assessing technical requirements that meet needs of their operation.
 Completes work specific to assigned section using appropriate technologies and communication skills.
 Supervises group of professional and/or administrative support employees.
 Performs other duties as assigned.
