Job Description: The Safety Administrative Assistant position is to provide general clerical, scheduling, and organizational support to the ULCS Safety department.

Essential Functions &amp; Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Support the Safety department with data entry, file system maintenance, meeting coordination, calendar management, and other administrative tasks.</li><li>
Understand and assist with the implementation of the Safety department&rsquo;s systems and policies.</li><li>
Work collaboratively and effectively with Safety department team members, all levels of management and staff, as well as outside clients.</li><li>
Maintain and organize safety logs, near-miss reports, incident reports, and OSHA records.</li><li>
Track employee training requirements, schedule safety audits, and update safety manuals.</li><li>
Process worker compensation claims, manage third-party compliance websites and schedule meetings.</li><li>
Assist Safety Supervisor with incident investigations and documentation entry.</li><li>
Act as a point of contact for health and safety queries via phone/email and assist in distributing safety materials.</li><li>
Assist with planning safety department events.</li><li>
Coordinate travel arrangements for safety department.</li><li>
Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul>
Minimum Qualifications:<ul><li>
Must be 18 years of age or older.</li><li>
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.</li><li>
Familiarity with OSHA standards and safety regulations is highly desirable.</li><li>
Able to communicate effectively with others.</li><li>
Can write, read and comprehend written and verbal job instructions/information.</li><li>
Able to multi-task and produce in a high paced team-oriented environment.</li><li>
Must have strong interpersonal and customer service skills.</li><li>
Organized, detail oriented and follows-through.</li></ul>
Education &amp; Experience<ul><li>
1 &ndash; 3 years of experience in an administrative or safety-related role.</li><li>
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.</li></ul>
Pre-Screen<ul><li>
Upon offer, employees may be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background and/or MVR check.</li></ul>
License &amp; Certifications:<ul><li>
Driver's License Required.</li></ul>
