We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to work from our manufacturing facility in Algona, WA on 3rd Shift. The Maintenance Tech is responsible to work independently installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining, all mechanical and electrical components of production and facility equipment.

Key Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Troubleshoots and repairs manufacturing equipment (motor controls, DC/AC drives and controls, frying and baking equipment, sheeters, extruders, temperature instrumentation, burner systems and controls, packaging machines, electronic scales, programmable logic controllers), etc.</li>
<li>Responsible for repairing various facility equipment types (lift trucks, pumps, fans, air compressors, hydraulic equipment, HVAC), etc.</li>
<li>Must be able to troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled equipment.</li>
<li>Prepares, coordinates, and implements preventive maintenance.</li>
<li>Completes installation and repair work from schematics and drawings.</li>
<li>Capable of minor electrical installations.</li>
<li>Responsible for quality and food safety tasks for their position.</li>
</ul>
Requirements
<ul>
<li>General mechanical skills consistent with 5 - 7 years experience in a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing a plus).</li>
<li>Advanced knowledge/training/certification in the following areas:</li>
<li>General electrical including blueprint reading and schematics</li>
<li>General plumbing involving installing, maintaining and repairing water, gas, and drainage systems</li>
<li>General Welding including ARC, Oxyacetylene, torch</li>
<li>Machining and Lathe operations</li>
<li>PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers)</li>
<li>Knowledge of safe operating practices involved in the use of power tools, lock-out/tag-out programs and food safety.</li>
<li>Experience with general category tools (hammers, pliers, grease guns, etc.).</li>
<li>Knowledge of parts procurement and inventory processes to ensure uninterrupted operation of equipment and critical part replenishment.</li>
</ul>
Starting payrate: $32.27/hour + $1.00 per hour for 3rd Shift differential.

Requirements:
<ul><li>Requires knowledge and skills in electrical, mechanical, and electronic applications acquired through 3-5 years of experience.</li>

<li>Maintain complete plant cleanliness. Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement Processes including Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and 5S preferred.</li>
<li>Mechanical aptitude with demonstrated ability troubleshooting process related issues.</li>
<li>Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.</li>
<li>Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with staff and others contacted in the course of the work.</li>
<li>Ability to think and work effectively under pressure and accurately complete tasks within established times.</li>

The Opportunity: IO Onboarding Specialist

The IO Onboarding Specialist is responsible for fulfilling requests for new Independent Operators by attracting qualified candidates through strategic recruitment efforts. This role involves identifying, screening, and onboarding prospective operators with the competencies and motivation to succeed in a small business environment. The Specialist works closely with leadership and sales operations, actively promotes the Utz IO business model, and supports candidates throughout the transition process to ensure a smooth onboarding experience and minimize early attrition. Additionally, this position requires maintaining a pipeline of potential candidates, managing advertising and outreach, and collaborating with legal and compliance to ensure accuracy and regulatory adherence.
<ul><li>This role can be offered as fully remote or the candidate can be based in Hanover, PA at our headquarters location.
</li></ul>What You'll Do:
<ul>
<li>Develop and execute recruiting strategies to attract qualified candidates.</li>
<li>Conduct initial qualification interviews to assess business ownership mindset, motivation, financial readiness, and operational capability.</li>
<li>Build a consistent pipeline of candidates through industry referrals, word-of-mouth, online platforms, and local outreach.</li>
<li>Actively promote the Utz IO opportunity as a small business ownership model.</li>
<li>Support Sales Operations Team by communicating daily regarding the sourcing process including candidates, success of postings, and additional needs.</li>
<li>Clearly explain the Utz IO business model, including:
<ul><li>Route purchase requirements and valuation</li>
<li>Revenue, margin structure, and expense expectations</li>
<li>Day to day operational responsibilities</li>
<li>Growth opportunities and customer expectations</li>
</ul></li><li>Work closely with legal to ensure compliance and accuracy.</li>
<li>Responsible for listing and de-listing available routes on UtzDSD.com and Craigslist.</li>
<li>Responsible for maintaining our online presence at Utz IO Opportunities on Facebook.</li>
<li>Prepares monthly reconciliation of advertising spend.</li>
<li>Maintains advertising budget.</li>
<li>Responsible for onboarding and transition support, including coordinating onboarding timelines, periodic check ins, and acting as a point of continuity during transition to avoid early attrition.</li>
<li>Work closely with leadership to identify priority markets for recruitment, while understanding market dynamics, route economics, and competitive pressures.</li>
<li>Maintain a bench of candidates for future opportunities.</li>
<li>Regularly communicates with MDLs, SODs, and VPs.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>
What You Bring:

Education
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.</li>
</ul>
Experience
<ul><li>One to three years of professional experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, sales, or related fields; experience in small business, franchise, or independent operator environments is highly valuable.</li>
</ul>
Skills
<ul>
<li>Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.</li>
<li>Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
</li><li>Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.</li>
