Job Title: Senior Electrical EngineerDuration: 12 MonthsLocation: Columbia, AL 36319Position Summary: The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for leading and supporting the design, development, and oversight of electrical power systems for large industrial and power plant projects. This position requires a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience and an accredited bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Electrical Engineering. The role involves technical leadership, project coordination, and ensuring compliance with all applicable engineering standards and regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Assist in preparing and overseeing electrical power system design, including scope documents, schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables.</li><li>Develop and review single-line diagrams, elementary and wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and circuitry designs.</li><li>Ensure all design work complies with applicable codes, standards, QA requirements, and federal, state, and local regulations.</li><li>Provide technical direction and guidance to engineers, designers, and drafters throughout project life cycles.</li><li>Support system checkout and startup activities as needed.</li><li>Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and disciplines to maximize project efficiency.</li><li>Apply strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills to resolve technical issues.</li><li>Make independent engineering decisions with minimal management consultation.</li><li>Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while meeting cost, schedule, and quality objectives.</li><li>Build strong, collaborative working relationships with plant staff, design engineering teams, and vendors.</li></ul>Required Skills &amp; Expertise:<ul><li>Strong knowledge of engineering design principles, preferably in power plant electrical system design.</li><li>Proven experience preparing technical design details, drawings, and engineering calculations.</li><li>Experience planning, scheduling, and coordinating projects to meet deliverables and deadlines.</li><li>Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with CAD Overlay is a plus.</li><li>Ability to work independently with a high level of initiative and minimal supervision.</li><li>Experience working on large-scale projects at industrial or nuclear facilities.</li><li>Strong understanding of applicable industry codes, standards, QA requirements, and regulatory mandates.</li><li>Ability to manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously.</li><li>Preferred knowledge of industry design process IP-ENG-001.</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, ContractPay: $114,000.00 - $124,000.00 per yearEducation:<ul><li>Bachelor's (Preferred)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Electrical engineering: 10 years (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
