Join Vail Health in the heart of the Colorado Rockies! We're seeking a <b>Nocturnist Anesthesiologist</b> to join our collaborative team-based model alongside experienced CRNAs.</p><br>

This role is a 40 hour week (1.0 FTE) working 7 days on and 7 days off, additional compensation for extra days worked outside of contract. We have a team based model with CRNA's.</p><br>

<p>The Nocturnist Anesthesiologist at Vail Health provides critical anesthesia care during nighttime hours, ensuring patient safety and comfort in a high-acuity setting. This role is pivotal in maintaining continuous and responsive anesthetic services, contributing to the overall quality of patient care and supporting the hospital's commitment to excellence.</p>

<div><b>What you will do:</b></div>
<div><ul><li>Provide anesthesia care during nighttime hours, ensuring patient safety and comfort in high-acuity settings.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Administer anesthesia for a variety of surgical and medical procedures, including trauma cases.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Monitor patients before, during, and after anesthesia to ensure optimal outcomes and manage any complications that arise.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Utilize state-of-the-art equipment and techniques to deliver anesthesia care.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient records using the EMR system.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advancements in anesthesia practice.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Participate in hospital committees and quality improvement initiatives as required.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Models the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Performs other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant.</li></ul>

<div><b>What you will need:</b></div>

<div><b>Experience:</b></div>
<ul><li>Extensive experience in administering anesthesia to patients undergoing various surgical procedures, including emergency and high-risk surgeries.</li>
<li>Proficiency in monitoring patients before, during, and after anesthesia to ensure optimal outcomes and manage any complications that arise.</li>
<li>Experience in collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.</li>
<li>Familiarity with utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and techniques to deliver anesthesia care.</li>
<li>Ability to maintain comprehensive and accurate patient records using the EMR system.</li>
<li>Continued participation in ongoing education and training to stay current with advancements in anesthesia practice.</li>
<li>Experience in managing potential hazards in the healthcare environment, including radiation, toxic chemicals, biological hazards, heat, noise, dust, and stress.</li>

<ul><li>Board Certification/Board Eligibility Internal Medicine.</li>
<li>BLS/ACLS by American Heart Association, required</li>
</ul><div><b>Computer / Typing:</b></div>
<ul><li>Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computer skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.</li>

<div>Performs CLIA moderate and high complexity laboratory tests and analyses; recognizes and corrects problems; possesses in depth knowledge of laboratory techniques, principles, and instruments; correlates and interprets test results. Provides physicians with rapid and accurate test results.</div><br>

<div><b>What you will do:</b></div>
<div><ul><li>Performs CLIA moderate and high complex lab testing, automated and non-automated, in hematology, chemistry, blood bank, microbiology, coagulation, serology, and molecular diagnostics.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Performs, statistically evaluates, troubleshoots, and records quality control, calibrations, validations on test assays.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Performs and records preventive maintenance on lab instrumentation. Identifies, evaluates, and performs corrective maintenance on lab equipment.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Validates, correlates with patients' diagnosis, interprets, &amp; reports laboratory test data; enters data into LIS system and reviews it's completeness and accuracy. Reports and interprets data to physicians, infection control, regulatory agencies, as required.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Performs specimen collection, handling, processing, storage. Evaluates specimens quality for testing and troubleshoots deviations.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Assists in the development of QA and QI projects; collects and tabulates QA data.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Assists with training and education of new med techs and lab assistants.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Maintains competency and continuing education in general lab practices.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Role models the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.</li></ul>
