Role Overview: Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the Financial Analyst will play a key role in driving the financial strategy and performance of a subset of our operating brands. This role offers full P&amp;L ownership across a portfolio of vacation rental brands &mdash; giving you direct exposure to how financial decisions connect to operations, revenue, and growth. The position focuses on financial modeling, forecasting, variance analysis, budgeting, and delivering actionable insights to support business leaders in achieving growth and operational goals. You will work in a technology-forward finance team that actively uses AI tools to drive efficiency and insight quality. The role is critical in supporting Monarch Collective&rsquo;s expansion and organic growth initiatives and will have direct interaction with the executive leadership team.
This is a hybrid role based in Chicago, IL, with an expectation of being in the office three days per week.
Responsibilities:<ul><li>Own and maintain financial models for portfolio brands, collaborating closely with general managers to develop detailed, forward-looking financial forecasts and scenarios, leveraging AI-assisted tools to accelerate model development and scenario analysis.</li><li>Analyze actual financial performance against budget and prior periods, presenting insights to business leaders and partnering with them to identify opportunities for improvement.</li><li>Conduct in-depth, data-driven analyses to address key business questions, evaluate investment opportunities, and support strategic priorities.</li><li>Streamline processes for collecting, analyzing, and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance decision-making across portfolio companies, including identifying opportunities to automate reporting and analysis using AI tools.</li><li>Support the development and monitoring of annual budgets and long-term financial plans for assigned brands, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.</li><li>Support the financial integration of newly acquired brands, including standing up reporting frameworks, aligning chart of accounts, and onboarding new sites into corporate financial systems.</li><li>Track and analyze cash flow trends across portfolio companies, projecting future needs and identifying optimization opportunities.</li><li>Summarize financial performance by preparing high-level reports and dashboards for leadership, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities, using a combination of traditional BI tools and AI-generated reporting.</li><li>Monitor industry trends and competitive benchmarks to provide context for financial performance and inform strategic recommendations.</li><li>Contribute to special projects &mdash; such as scenario planning, profitability analysis, or investor reporting &mdash; to support Monarch Collective&rsquo;s growth strategy.</li></ul>
Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent analytical experience.</li><li>1-3 years of relevant work experience.</li><li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., financial modeling, data visualization).</li><li>Eagerness to learn and adopt AI-assisted tools (e.g., Claude, large language models) to accelerate analysis and reporting workflows. Prior experience is not required, but curiosity and willingness to experiment are essential.</li><li>Familiarity with SQL or willingness to learn query-based data tools. Experience with Looker, Snowflake, Oracle NetSuite, or Python is a plus.</li><li>Strong analytical mindset with a demonstrated ability to translate data into actionable business insights.</li><li>Self-directed and resourceful; comfortable navigating ambiguity, asking good questions, and taking ownership of problems end-to-end.</li><li>Proven ability to manage multiple work streams and deliver results under tight timelines with high attention to detail.</li><li>Exposure to M&amp;A integration or post-acquisition financial onboarding is a plus.</li></ul>

What We Offer<ul><li>
As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position is $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 / year. Placement in the range depends on several factors such as experience, skills, geography and internal equity and may change over time.</li><li>
