 </b><b>Position Summary: </b>The primary responsibility of this position is to support the panel saw operator by creating stacks of material to ensure the panel saw is working at capacity. The Panel Saw/Machine Operator operates other machinery within the department ensuring machines run smoothly, work at capacity without issue and is appropriately maintained.</p></div><div><div><p><b><br>
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>
Create stacks of material and support the panel saw operator.</li><li>
Operate forklift and pull materials from racks to create stacks for the panel saw.</li><li>
Push and or pull sheet goods from racks onto forklift.</li><li>
Maintain daily use inventory and Quality Control materials.</li><li>
Empty waste hoppers and retrieve empty material carts.</li><li>
Create material stack lists from production paperwork.</li><li>
Serve as a backup Panel Saw operator.</li><li>
Operate other machinery in the department as needed.</li><li>
Operate Horizontal Drill &amp; Dowel insertion machine.</li><li>
Organize and sort cabinet parts for the cabinet builders using production schedules.</li><li>
Machine parts on Drill and Dowel machine using barcode reader and production paperwork.</li><li>
Maintain machine in accordance with department standards.</li><li>
Catch parts from Edge bander.</li><li>
Push carts of finished parts to their next destination in the plant.</li></ul></div></div><div><div><p><b><br>
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:</b></p><ul><li>
No required education or job experience.</li><li>
Ability to learn and retain on the job training.</li><li>
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.</li><li>
Ability to read measurement tools such as a tape measure.</li><li>
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.</li><li>
Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions in English.</li><li>
Ability to meet quality standards - strong attention to detail and quality.</li><li>
Ability to consistently meet/exceed production quotas.</li><li>
Comfortable working with Computers. Ability to work with MS Office products.</li><li>
Willingness to perform many different tasks throughout the day.</li><li>
Willingness to be cross trained and operate other department machines when necessary.</li></ul></div></div><div><div><p><b><br>
Physical Requirements:</b></p><p>
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position including, but not be limited to the following:</p><ul><li>
Sit, walk, and reach with hands and arms.</li><li>
Stand for extended periods of time.</li><li>
Moving, bending, standing, kneeling, lifting and carrying material weighing up to 50 pounds.</li><li>
Pushing/pulling, grasping/squeezing, pinching, fine motor dexterity.</li><li>
Exposure to high noise levels and requires wearing hearing protection in designated areas.</li><li>
Exposure to plant environment to include moving parts, fumes, dust. Safety glasses to be worn at all times.</li><li>
Endure heat and cold conditions in the plant.</li></ul></div></div><div><p><i><br>
