 Position Summary
 
 
 
 Valley Healthcare is seeking a skilled and compassionate
 
 Physician Assistant (PA)
 
 to join our team. The PA, under the supervision of a licensed, state-approved sponsoring physician, is responsible for obtaining medical histories, performing comprehensive physical exams, diagnosing, treating, and managing acute and minor illnesses and injuries. The PA plays a vital role in patient care delivery, working collaboratively with the healthcare team to promote positive health outcomes.
 
 
 
 For a limited time, this position offers a
 
 
 
 $10,000.00 sign-on bonus
 
 
 
 to qualified candidates.
 
 
 
 
 Duties And Responsibilities
 
 
 
 The authority and responsibilities of the PA include but are not limited to:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Conduct patient/family interviews and compile medical histories.
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform physical examinations, make preliminary diagnoses, prescribe treatments, and recommend drug therapies.
 </li>
 <li>
 Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests.
 </li>
 <li>
 Analyze patient history, exam findings, and test results to formulate diagnoses.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physician.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide emotional support and education to patients and families.
 </li>
 <li>
 Treat illnesses under physician supervision; write prescriptions requiring physician co-signature.
 </li>
 <li>
 Consult with the supervising physician as necessary.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist physicians during medical procedures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform administrative tasks as directed by the Medical Director or supervising physician.
 </li>
 <li>
 Attend required in-service trainings and departmental meetings.
 </li>
 <li>
 Execute additional assigned responsibilities as needed.

 Requirements
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
 </li>
 <li>
 Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
 </li>
 <li>
 Current license to practice in the State of Georgia.
 </li>
 <li>
 Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Certified Physician Assistant.
 </li>
 <li>
 At least two (2) years&rsquo; experience in a related healthcare setting preferred.
 </li>
 <li>
 Valid CPR/BCLS, ACLS, or PALS certification.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
 </li>
 <li>
 High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential patient information.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing time and priorities effectively.
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Evaluation Criteria
 
 
 
 Performance is evaluated by the Chief Medical Officer in accordance with center policies. Criteria include clinical competence, patient care, communication, professionalism, and teamwork.
 
 
 
 Compensation &amp; Benefits

 Salary: $97,139.00 and up, based on experience
 </li>
 <li>
 $10,000.00 Sign-On Bonus (Limited Time Offer)
 </li>
 <li>

 Physical Requirements
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Must be able to stand, walk, reach, bend, and lift (occasionally exceeding 50 pounds).
 </li>
 <li>
 Must have full range of body motion to assist or lift patients.
 </li>
 <li>
 Visual, auditory, and hand-eye coordination required.
 </li>
 <li>
 Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, hazardous substances, and clinical equipment.
 </li>
 <li>
 Must be able to work under stress and maintain flexibility with irregular hours.
 </li>
 <li>
 This role is considered high risk for occupational exposure to blood and bodily fluids.
