</div>PREFERRED EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE

JOB SUMMARY:
<ul>
<li>Maintains all assigned areas in a clean and sanitary condition.</li>
<li>Performs cleaning/sanitizing tasks as outlined on the shift/daily/weekly/monthly cleaning schedules, which may include wash, dust, polish vacuum and sweep all areas of the facility.</li>
<li>Cleans and sanitizes sinks, tubs, showers and toilets according to prescribed sanitary standards.</li>
<li>Cleans and sanitizes office and common areas including public and private restrooms, nursing areas and patient laundry areas as directed.</li>
<li>Cleans, sanitizes, and maintains all flooring according to facility cleaning schedules, which may include tiled, carpeted, polished concrete, wood and other flooring types.</li>
<li>Cleans and sanitizes linens according to organizational protocol and keep a separation of dirty and clean linens within the laundry storage area.</li>
<li>Distributes clean linens and paper goods according to facility schedule.
</li><li>Restocks cleaning and paper supplies according to organizational guidelines.
</li><li>Follows safety guidelines when using cleaning chemicals, appliances, and other commercial housekeeping equipment.
</li><li>Removes trash, boxes or other soiled materials to appropriate containers in a timeframe that ensures patient/visitor and staff safety and infection control in addition to following regulatory guidelines.</li>
<li>Inspects housekeeping equipment to ensure safety prior to use. Use housekeeping equipment according to manufacturer and facility direction. Promptly notify business manager of any concerns.
</li><li>Maintains clean laundry, housekeeping and storage rooms that are free from fire and other hazards.</li>
<li>Observes and reports any maintenance issues according to business manager guideline.
</li><li>Adheres to health and safety regulations pertinent to facility, organization, state or other regulatory body to promote and increase infection control.</li> 
</ul>
 WORK ENVIRONMENT:
<ul>
<li>Residential treatment facility setting; requires walking throughout the facility and may require moving between buildings/rooms in temperature extremes.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Able to work non-typical hours, which could include early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays; able to work overtime to the extent necessary.</li>
<li>Able to push, pull, pull up, bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, kneel, squat, crawl, turn head-neck-shoulders as needed, grasp other items with hands, for either extended periods of time or many times throughout the workday.</li>
<li>Able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.</li></ul>

Located just north of Wichita, Valley Hope of Moundridge, has provided residential drug and alcohol addiction treatment services since 2010. Our work is mission-driven, supported by a strong culture of teamwork and a compassionate environment that is the foundation of the Valley Hope organization. 


EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE:
<ul>
<li>Valid and unrestricted driver&rsquo;s license is required</li>
<li>One (1) year of work experience in behavioral or healthcare work environment including direct patient care is preferred</li>
<li>Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency is preferred</li>
<li>Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required; or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.</li>
<li>Patient Care Technician Certification (PCTC).</li></ul> 


COMPENSATION:
<ul>
<li>Starting base pay is $18.00 per hour</li>
</ul>
Shift Differentials:
<ul>
<li>Night: $4.25</li>
<li>Weekend Night: $4.75</li>
<li>Weekend Day: $1.00</li></ul> 


 JOB SUMMARY:
<ul>
<li>Assists nursing staff in providing care for patients in accordance with identified treatment plans.</li>
<li>Measures vital signs patients and monitors the health of patients.</li>
<li>Assists patients with everyday needs.</li>
<li>Communicates with nursing supervisors, nursing staff, and clinical staff regarding patients&rsquo; treatment and status.</li>
<li>Records treatment activities and patient observations in patient records accurately and timely; completes paperwork requirements as needed in an accurate and timely manner.</li>
<li>Transports patients as needed.</li>
<li>Maintains a safe and sanitary environment applying infection control techniques and universal precautions.</li>
<li>Adheres to all policies and procedures regarding patient information protection and HIPPA.</li>
<li>Maintains and demonstrates a current working knowledge of applicable medical procedures and nursing care based on company policy and State and Federal guidelines.</li>
<li>Obtains (within first six months of employment) and maintains Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.</li>
