We have an exciting opportunity as a scrap metal Buyer.
Basic Job Duties:<ul><li>
Greets and helps customers unload scrap metal</li><li>
Identifies, weighs, and sorts out different types of materials</li><li>
Must be courteous and patient with employees and customers</li><li>
Helps with housekeeping during down times</li><li>
Must be willing to fill at other tasks when needed and performing only those jobs on which they have been trained</li><li>
Will work in the different weather conditions</li><li>
Responsible for observing and following all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment</li><li>
Responsible for timely, understandable, legible and accurate paperwork</li></ul>
Minimum Qualifications:<ul><li>
Ability to provide quality customer service</li><li>
1 year of customer service experience preferred</li><li>
Able to work in the heat of the summer and cold of the winter</li><li>
Must be able to stand for long periods of time</li><li>
Good attendance and punctuality is a must</li><li>
Analytical and problem solving skills</li><li>
Understand computer basics</li></ul>
Physical Requirements:<ul><li>
Ability to sit, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach and work on your feet for extended periods of time</li><li>
The employee occasionally is required to lift up to 50 pounds</li><li>
The employee is frequently required to use hands, fingers; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel or crouch</li></ul>
