We&rsquo;re looking for a patient focused, detail-oriented Patient Service Representative who supports smooth clinic operations at the front line of care. You&rsquo;ll manage check-in and check-out, coordinate appointments, respond to patient needs, and keep schedules moving to create a seamless patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Access and Front Desk Operations<ul><li>
Greet and check in patients with professionalism and cultural sensitivity
</li><li>Verify insurance eligibility and collect co-pays or sliding fee documentation</li><li>
Confirm patient demographics and update EHR records</li><li>
Respond to phone calls and patients inquires in a timely and courteous manner</li><li>
Schedule new and return visits based on provider templates, visit type, and patient preference</li><li>
Document management-scanning and filing of patient paperwork in a timely and accurate manner</li></ul>
Schedule Optimization:<ul><li>
Monitor provider schedules throughout the day to identify and fill last-minute cancellations</li><li>
Coordinate with care teams to accommodate walk-ins, urgent needs, and overbooks.
</li><li>Communicate schedule changes clearly to patients and care teams.
</li><li>Assist providers in scheduling follow-up appointments before the patient leaves the clinic.
</li><li>Coordinate patient needs (labs, referrals, imaging) with other departments as needed.
</li><li>Mail duties including dispersing forms and documentation to care teams and mailing outpatient letters and Medicare Wellness Packets.
</li></ul>Appointment Confirmation Management<ul><li>
Call patients due for care and schedule needed services.
</li><li>Manage patient portal enrollment and assist patients with needs.
</li><li>Conduct appointment confirmation calls, voicemails, and texts following communication protocols.
</li><li>Document all outreach attempts in the EHR accurately.
</li><li>Call patients that no-show scheduled appointments to offer a new appointment be scheduled, determine if barriers to care are present and if so, make warm handoff to the Patient Care Navigator for intervention.
</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or medical office certification preferred.</li><li>
1-2 years of healthcare or customer service experience preferred but not required.</li><li>
Experience with EHR systems (e.g., NextGen, Epic, eClinicalWorks) preferred.</li><li>
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred or required, depending on clinic location</li><li>
BLS certification/training and certification</li></ul>
Location &amp; type of job: This job is a full-time onsite job located in medical, dental or behavioral health clinics in Colorado.
