A Brief Summary of This Position:
Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the maintenance, repair, installation, and troubleshooting of plant equipment and facility systems. This role helps ensure equipment reliability, safe operations, and minimal production downtime through preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repair activities involving electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Essential Functions:
<ul><li>Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on plant equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
</li><li>Diagnose, test, disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble production equipment and components.
</li><li>Troubleshoot and service pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
</li><li>Perform repairs and adjustments to mechanical components including clutches, drive systems, motors, and related equipment.
</li><li>Repair or fabricate parts, fixtures, and components using welding, cutting, brazing, and related fabrication methods.
</li><li>Troubleshoot electrical systems and circuits including 12&ndash;48-volt DC and 120&ndash;460-volt AC systems.
</li><li>Perform both major and general repairs on production and facility equipment.
</li><li>Accurately document labor, materials, and parts used for maintenance and repair activities.
</li><li>Properly use and maintain test equipment, hand tools, and maintenance equipment.
</li><li>Safely operate lift equipment including cranes, booms, man lifts, and cherry pickers.
</li><li>Respond to occasional emergency call-ins or irregular-hour maintenance needs with limited supervision.
</li><li>Identify and report abnormal operating conditions, equipment concerns, and safety hazards to leadership.
</li><li>Maintain clean and organized work areas while supporting housekeeping and routine maintenance activities.
</li><li>Maintain required certifications, licenses, and technical competencies necessary to perform assigned duties.
</li><li>Communicate training needs or safety concerns to management and avoid performing work without proper training or authorization.
</li><li>Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements.
</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.
</li></ul>Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
<ul><li>High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
</li><li>Ability to troubleshoot AC and DC electrical systems and circuits.
</li><li>Basic knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
</li><li>Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
</li><li>Strong commitment to workplace safety and safe work practices, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
</li><li>Basic shop math skills include multiplication, division, fractions, and decimal conversions.
</li><li>Ability to safely use maintenance tools, test equipment, and material handling equipment.
</li><li>Ability to obtain forklift and crane certifications through company-provided training programs.
</li><li>Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
</li><li>Ability to lift, move, and work with equipment and materials as required.
</li><li>Ability to wear required PPE and work in both indoor and outdoor manufacturing environments.
</li></ul>Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications:
<ul><li>Previous experience in industrial maintenance or as an Industrial Mechanic.
</li><li>Experience working with pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment.
</li><li>Experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and other lift equipment.
</li><li>Knowledge and experience troubleshooting hydraulic systems.
</li><li>Experience with PLC systems, maintenance software, and general computer applications.
</li><li>Welding and fabrication experience.
</li><li>Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
</li><li>Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
</li><li>Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
</li><li>High level of integrity, accountability, and customer focus.
</li></ul>Working Environment
The work environment can vary significantly depending on the industry (e.g., manufacturing, commercial facilities, or field services). Technicians are regularly exposed to the following conditions:
<ul><li>Production and Industrial Settings : Work is primarily performed around active production lines, heavy machinery, conveyor systems, and mechanical rooms.
</li><li>Environmental Exposure : Regular exposure to extreme temperatures (both intense heat near machinery and seasonal cold outdoors), dust, dirt, grease, oil, and chemical fumes.
</li><li>High Noise Levels : Frequent work in environments with noise levels exceeding 80 decibels, requiring the consistent use of hearing protection.
</li><li>Confined and Elevated Spaces : Tasks often require working in cramped, tight spaces, or at high elevations on ladders, scaffolding, and motorized lift equipment.
</li><li>Shift and Schedule Flexibility : Work can involve 2nd or 3rd shifts, weekends, and occasional emergency on-call hours to handle urgent equipment failures with minimal supervision.
</li></ul>Physical Efforts
This is a highly physical role requiring full-body mobility, strength, and endurance. Technicians must be capable of meeting these physical demands daily
<ul><li>Heavy Lifting : Must be able to routinely lift, carry, push, or pull tools, replacement parts, and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
</li><li>Dynamic Body Movements : Frequent standing, walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling into tight spaces to inspect or service machinery.
</li><li>Manual Dexterity : Fine motor skills are required daily to finger, handle, feel, and manipulate small parts, specialized hand tools, and delicate electrical components.
</li><li>Overhead Work : Regular reaching with hands and arms, often holding heavy tools or parts overhead for extended periods.
</li><li>Sensory and Vision Requirements : Sharp close-up vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception are necessary to diagnose mechanical issues, read schematics, and navigate hazards safely
</li></ul>Incumbent will also be exposed to production facilities where specific PPE will be required such as hand, hearing, foot, eye, and head protection. There will also be frequent exposure to outside elements for short periods of time. Being outside will also expose them to material handling equipment such as forklifts

A Brief Summary of This Position
The Group Lead is responsible for leading daily production activities and supporting production personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. This role provides hands-on leadership on the production floor, promotes teamwork and accountability, and serves as a key communication link between production employees and leadership. The Group Lead supports safety, quality, productivity, training, and continuous improvement initiatives while helping ensure customer expectations are met through on-time delivery and operational excellence.
Essential Functions
<ul><li>Lead and support daily production activities for assigned work areas and personnel.
</li><li>Promote a positive team environment through effective communication, coaching, motivation, and accountability.
</li><li>Assist in training and onboarding employees to ensure consistent processes, quality standards, and safe work practices.
</li><li>Model and reinforce all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements while identifying opportunities for continuous safety improvements.
</li><li>Monitor workflow, staffing, equipment, and materials to support production schedules and operational goals.
</li><li>Help ensure products are manufactured efficiently and meet quality and customer requirements.
</li><li>Maintain production flow and proactively address issues that may impact safety, quality, or delivery.
</li><li>Track and communicate daily production, quality, and safety metrics with employees and leadership.
</li><li>Support accurate production reporting and timely entry of production information into business systems.
</li><li>Assist with tracking shop orders through production and help expedite orders as needed to meet business demands.
</li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout the shift.
</li><li>Communicate effectively across shifts and departments to ensure operational alignment and continuity.
</li><li>Support employee engagement and maintain a respectful and productive work environment.
</li><li>Operate in both indoor and outdoor manufacturing environments while wearing required PPE.

</li></ul>Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
<ul><li>High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
</li><li>1 year of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
</li><li>Previous leadership, team lead, or coaching experience preferred.
</li><li>Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication equipment, and production operations.
</li><li>Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
</li><li>Ability to read and use measuring tools including tape measures, micrometers, and gauges.
</li><li>Overhead crane and/or forklift experience preferred.
</li><li>Valid Driver&rsquo;s License with a safe driving record preferred.
</li><li>Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
</li><li>Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while meeting safety, quality, and productivity expectations.
</li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting up to 20 pounds.
</li><li>Ability to become certified in forklift operation and other required equipment.
</li><li>Ability to wear required PPE and follow all facility safety regulations.
</li><li>Maintain a safe and productive working environment.
</li><li>Able to do basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division and fraction conversion)
</li><li>Able to read and comprehend routings and blueprints
</li><li>Able to use a tape measure
</li><li>Able to use a computer to enter production data, perform time keeping functions, interface with machines and other equipment
</li></ul>Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications
<ul><li>Three (3) or more years of experience in a leadership role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
</li><li>Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma training or certification.
</li><li>Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
</li><li>Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing production demands.
</li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to follow work instructions and procedures.
</li><li>Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with others.
