A Brief Summary of This Position:
 This position is responsible for sourcing, recruiting, interviewing, assessing and hiring applicants for Valmont jobs across all divisions in a wide range of functions including clerical, technical, manufacturing, and administrative positions. This incumbent must possess considerable skill in interviewing techniques, a good knowledge of all professional and specialized functions in the company, a basic understanding of the company's organizational structure, as well as a strong knowledge of human resources policy, procedure and federal and state laws regarding employment practices. The nature of this position requires skilled communication with employees and leaders at all levels, as well as with job seekers. The incumbent represents the company brand and culture to attract talent to the organization and assists with retention activities.
Essential Functions:
<ul><li>Develop, implement and execute recruiting programs and strategies to fill current openings and build a healthy pipeline of qualified candidates
</li><li>Partners with hiring managers and HRIS to determine staffing needs and process job requisitions utilizing the Workday system
</li><li>Builds solid relationships with the businesses and serves as an advisor and partner before, during, and after hiring date
</li><li>Acts as liaison with area employment agencies and advertising agencies
</li><li>Proactively networks and leverages technology to recruit from passive candidate sources
</li><li>Screens, schedules and interviews applicants
</li><li>Coordinates manager and team interviews
</li><li>Extends verbal and written contingent job offers through the Workday system
</li><li>Coordinates relocation offer details (if applicable)
</li><li>Coordinates background checks and new-hire drug testing
</li><li>Assists with orientation of new employees
</li><li>Uses traditional and nontraditional resources, such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates
</li><li>Manages internal transfer process, including screening, coordination of interviews with hiring manager, transfer offer letters, etc.
</li><li>Follows up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding recruiting process
</li><li>Develops and maintains an excellent relationship with internal and external clients to ensure achievement of staffing goals
</li></ul>Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
<ul><li>Preferred Bachelor&rsquo;s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience or Associate&rsquo;s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or 7+ years of relevant experience
</li><li>Spanish/English language skills required.
</li><li>Three years of experience in a recruitment role involving sourcing to offer acceptance
</li><li>Three years of experience and working knowledge of HRIS and ATS tools and technology
</li><li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint &amp; Outlook
</li><li>Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends to facilitate recruiting events
</li><li>Experience partnering and influencing hiring managers and executives throughout the recruiting cycle

A Brief Summary of This Position:
Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the maintenance, repair, installation, and troubleshooting of plant equipment and facility systems. This role helps ensure equipment reliability, safe operations, and minimal production downtime through preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repair activities involving electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Essential Functions:
<ul><li>Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on plant equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
</li><li>Diagnose, test, disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble production equipment and components.
</li><li>Troubleshoot and service pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
</li><li>Perform repairs and adjustments to mechanical components including clutches, drive systems, motors, and related equipment.
</li><li>Repair or fabricate parts, fixtures, and components using welding, cutting, brazing, and related fabrication methods.
</li><li>Troubleshoot electrical systems and circuits including 12&ndash;48-volt DC and 120&ndash;460-volt AC systems.
</li><li>Perform both major and general repairs on production and facility equipment.
</li><li>Accurately document labor, materials, and parts used for maintenance and repair activities.
</li><li>Properly use and maintain test equipment, hand tools, and maintenance equipment.
</li><li>Safely operate lift equipment including cranes, booms, man lifts, and cherry pickers.
</li><li>Respond to occasional emergency call-ins or irregular-hour maintenance needs with limited supervision.
</li><li>Identify and report abnormal operating conditions, equipment concerns, and safety hazards to leadership.

The work environment can vary significantly depending on the industry (e.g., manufacturing, commercial facilities, or field services). Technicians are regularly exposed to the following conditions:
<ul><li>Production and Industrial Settings : Work is primarily performed around active production lines, heavy machinery, conveyor systems, and mechanical rooms.
</li><li>Environmental Exposure : Regular exposure to extreme temperatures (both intense heat near machinery and seasonal cold outdoors), dust, dirt, grease, oil, and chemical fumes.
</li><li>High Noise Levels : Frequent work in environments with noise levels exceeding 80 decibels, requiring the consistent use of hearing protection.
</li><li>Confined and Elevated Spaces : Tasks often require working in cramped, tight spaces, or at high elevations on ladders, scaffolding, and motorized lift equipment.
</li><li>Shift and Schedule Flexibility : Work can involve 2nd or 3rd shifts, weekends, and occasional emergency on-call hours to handle urgent equipment failures with minimal supervision.

This is a highly physical role requiring full-body mobility, strength, and endurance. Technicians must be capable of meeting these physical demands daily
<ul><li>Heavy Lifting : Must be able to routinely lift, carry, push, or pull tools, replacement parts, and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
</li><li>Dynamic Body Movements : Frequent standing, walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling into tight spaces to inspect or service machinery.
</li><li>Manual Dexterity : Fine motor skills are required daily to finger, handle, feel, and manipulate small parts, specialized hand tools, and delicate electrical components.
</li><li>Overhead Work : Regular reaching with hands and arms, often holding heavy tools or parts overhead for extended periods.
</li><li>Sensory and Vision Requirements : Sharp close-up vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception are necessary to diagnose mechanical issues, read schematics, and navigate hazards safely
</li></ul>Incumbent will also be exposed to production facilities where specific PPE will be required such as hand, hearing, foot, eye, and head protection. There will also be frequent exposure to outside elements for short periods of time. Being outside will also expose them to material handling equipment such as forklifts

A Brief Summary of This Position
The Group Lead is responsible for leading daily production activities and supporting production personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. This role provides hands-on leadership on the production floor, promotes teamwork and accountability, and serves as a key communication link between production employees and leadership. The Group Lead supports safety, quality, productivity, training, and continuous improvement initiatives while helping ensure customer expectations are met through on-time delivery and operational excellence.
