<div>The Registered Respiratory Therapist learns, performs and completes assignments/responsibilities assigned during the transitional duty period. This position provides safe and effective respiratory care as an advanced Respiratory Therapist for neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and/or geriatric populations in accordance with discipline training, Clinical Practice Guidelines, and hospital standards and protocols. This position serves as a respiratory care resource and educator for patients, caregivers, hospital staff and students. If applicable, this position functions as a shift team leader in the absence of the supervisor.
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire: 
Licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Respiratory Therapist required

Registered Respiratory Therapist - 12 Week Contract (TTWP) - Adult - Days

<div>This full-time APP role supports the Transitional Care and Remote Patient Monitoring Program through scheduled and on-demand telehealth visits, panel management, and clinical escalation support for nursing and care coordination teams. Providers care for patients remotely while working onsite alongside an interdisciplinary team to promote collaboration and continuity of care. The position follows a Monday&ndash;Friday schedule consisting of five 8-hour shifts with no call or weekend requirements. Candidates should be comfortable managing complex patient populations in a virtual care environment while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary partners. 
 
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP- NP, PA, Midwife) provides high-quality medical and/or surgical patient care. This position provides care to patients with acute and chronic complaints in collaboration with the Attending Physician.
 
 
The Advanced Practice Provider provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and/or preventive healthcare service on a Collaborative APP/Physician team. The Advanced Practice Provider may perform any or all of the following: histories and physicals; order and interpret tests; make diagnosis; treat injuries/illness; assist with surgical procedures; counsel patient and/or prescribe medication and those invasive procedures defined by the Virginia Board of Medicine.

The Reimbursement Specialist Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the Reimbursement Specialist team to ensure timely and accurate processing of prior authorizations, insurance follow-ups, and patient assistance program requests pertaining to high-cost medications that require prior authorization. This role provides guidance, coaching, and performance management for team members, while supporting workflow optimization and departmental revenue collection goals.

Additional Duties</li><li>
Donning sterile gown and gloves to hold an extremity during a procedure. Passing sutures during wound closure, holding retractors during the procedure under the direction of the surgical technologist, the attending surgeon and or the RN. Assist with breakdown of the sterile field to include management of reusable instruments according to policy under the direction of the surgical tech and/or RN.</li><li>
Operates laser and other designated specialty equipment under the direction of the RN</li></ul>

Employment Qualifications 
Required Education:
High School Degree or equivalent
Preferred Education:
Certified Nursing Assistant

AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent

Minimum Qualifications
Years and Type of Required Experience
Certification/Completion of one of the following:<ul><li>
Certified Nursing Assistant</li><li>
Medical Assistant</li><li>
Emergency Medical Technician</li><li>
Military Corpsmen/Medic</li><li>
Nursing Aide Training Program</li><li>
Experience within a healthcare environment</li></ul>
OR<ul><li>
Completion of foundations/ clinical nursing course and one clinical rotation.</li></ul>
