Position Summary:Vectra Mechanical is a locally owned and operated shop looking to add a Journeyman Plumber to our growing team of professionals. This position will include commercial and residential plumbing service and repair of the following systems: water heaters (tank &amp; tankless), sewer and drain lines, water and sewer mains, fixtures, pumps, backflow prevention devices, water filtration systems, and more.Job Responsibilities:<ul><li>Perform all plumbing repairs and installations in accordance with state and local plumbing codes.</li><li>Complete all required documentation on services and collect, record, and deliver fees to designated office administration.</li><li>Facilitate order for all parts required for appointments and ensure preparedness for the day of service.</li><li>Submit purchase orders to dispatch or designated purchasing team administrators.</li><li>Transport materials and tools to the job site and provide proper accounting of assigned tools.</li><li>Keep vehicle clean, organized, and in safe working order.</li><li>Ensure vehicle is stocked and accurately inventoried.</li><li>Return defective or warranty parts to the branch.</li><li>Effectively communicate with the customer regarding questions, concerns, and recommendations.</li><li>Facilitate rescheduling of customer appointments if work cannot be completed in the original call.</li><li>Perform thorough plumbing inspections, including identification of Health and Safety Hazards, and communicate findings to the customer in a written option sheet.</li><li>Accurately complete and invoice for all services performed.</li><li>Train, coach, and mentor plumbing apprentices.</li><li>Inform a manager or team leader of any safety issues.</li><li>Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor with customers and associates at all times.</li><li>Maintain a professional image by wearing company-approved uniform.</li><li>Abide by all standards of performance and ethics.</li><li>Participate in company-sponsored training classes.</li><li>Follow all safety policies and procedures.</li><li>Communicate the benefits of Planned Maintenance Agreements.</li><li>Manage operational metrics including average invoice total, callback ratios, and labor margins.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:<ul><li>Minimum of 5 years verifiable experience in plumbing.</li><li>Knowledge of the installation, service, and repair of residential and commercial plumbing systems.</li><li>Strong troubleshooting ability with water distribution, drain/waste/vent systems, and hydronic piping.</li><li>Working knowledge of backflow prevention, cross-connection control, and water filtration systems a plus.</li><li>Possess good analytical skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Must be highly organized with strong follow-through.</li><li>Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations.</li><li>Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.</li><li>Must be able to use a tablet/smartphone and navigate digital work orders.</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license and insurable by company&rsquo;s carrier.</li></ul>Education/Certification Requirements:<ul><li>Colorado Journeyman Plumber License</li><li>High School diploma or GED required.</li><li>Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester certification preferred (or ability to obtain).</li></ul>Physical Requirements:<ul><li>Ability to work in tight spaces such as crawlspaces and utility rooms.</li><li>Ability to lift 50 pounds and maneuver heavier items when necessary.</li><li>Occasionally work from ladders or elevated platforms.</li><li>Have good visual acuity for close, distance, and peripheral work.</li></ul>Willing to work hours outside of normal schedule, including evenings and weekends if needed.Job Type: Full-timePay: $70,000.00 - $110,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Retirement plan</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
