Veho&rsquo;s Data Science team is core to Veho&rsquo;s ability to deliver millions of packages by creating the systems that drive forecasting, network orchestration, pricing, and routing decisions. Being part of this team, the Machine Learning Operations team drives the foundation of these systems by being a partner to the data scientists to create well-designed, stable, and performant systems.</p><p>
As the Technical Lead Manager, you&rsquo;ll own our Data Science platform and our 1-2 year roadmap for creating a sophisticated and stable platform that keeps up with Veho&rsquo;s rapid growth. You and your team embed into science projects so engineering quality is built in from day one, and create the templates to get new systems up and running quickly. You&rsquo;ll push our AI‑assisted development agenda and be a thought leader for the Veho data and engineering community on how to leverage AI in improving development velocity.</p><p>

Improve our internal ML platform: standardize and improve ML infrastructure, improve how DS services are created, deployed, and operated. Think service performance, permissioning, environment setup, and integration with upstream and downstream systems.</p></li><li><p>

The Route Success engineering team owns the systems which power the on the road experience for our driver partners in the final mile of our logistics network. The team is responsible for driving successful outcomes for our driver partners throughout the delivery lifecycle, and ensuring top notch experiences for the customers and clients we service.</p><p>
As a Staff Software Engineer you will be responsible for building tooling that powers our driver partners experience on the Veho platform. You&rsquo;ll work on projects related to geo spatial, driver and consumer powered data to give drivers the tools they need to deliver to addresses across our network, and ensure high standards of success for deliveries. You will build APIs and applications which integrate with data science systems to empower data-informed decisions, and work with various cross-functional teams to drive high-impact architectural solutions and hands-on development, including inception, design, execution, and delivery following good design and coding practices.</p><p><b>

Your portfolio spans the full TMS suite: First and Middle-Mile Execution, Lane Setup and Management, Carrier Management and Integration, Shipment Tracking, and Check-In/Check-Out processes.</p><p>
This role sits at the intersection of complex logistics and high-scale software. You will partner tightly with Network Optimization, Under the Roof Product, Finance, and Transportation Operations. Your success will be measured by network-wide cost-per-package mile, on-time arrival (OTA), and linehaul utilization.</p><ul><li>You are a builder, not just a delegator. You prototype, use AI tools, and ship solutions yourself &mdash; and you design for simplicity because operator adoption is the only metric that matters for tooling.</li><li>You think in systems. A delay in a middle-mile leg affects facility labor staffing, which affects driver launch times. You translate that into product requirements that engineers can build and operators can execute.</li><li>You are an exceptional communicator with high ownership.
