What You’ll Do: 
The Shop Foreman manages technicians work volume and quality and conducts safety meetings. The Foreman also maintains order in the shop and is responsible for its cleanliness, organization and function.
 
Job Duties:Management Team Duties: 
<ul>
<li>Updates advisors on progress of trucks</li>
<li>Ensures quality control inspections are conducted and passed</li>
<li>Makes questionable warranty decisions</li>
<li>Determines warranty coverage</li>
<li>Maintains repair comebacks to a minimum</li>
<li>Becomes involved in complex and difficult repairs</li>
<li>Enlists help from district service managers on complex and difficult repairs</li>
</ul>
Personnel Supervisory Duties: 
<ul>
<li>Coordinates technicians work volume every day</li>
<li>Assigns technicians work every day</li>
<li>Dispatches work every day</li>
<li>Coaches and motivates technicians to reach productivity and efficiency goals</li>
<li>Helps team leaders develop leadership skills</li>
</ul>
Safety and Security Compliance Duties: 
<ul>
<li>Ensures safety compliance, conducts safety meetings and trainings</li>
<li>Ensures shop complies with all local, state and federal safety regulations</li>
<li>Performs shop walk around to ensure shop and facility are safe and secure</li>
</ul>
Shop Maintenance Duties: 
<ul>
<li>Ensures cleanliness of the shop</li>
<li>Ensures organization of the shop</li>
</ul>
Required Skills and Qualifications:

<li>Prior Shop Foreman experience within trucking industry preferred</li>
<li>Prior management or supervisory experience required</li>

What You’ll Do: 
The role involves conducting comprehensive preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty tractors and equipment, ensuring optimal vehicle performance and safety. This technician operates a service truck, performing on-site inspections—often in challenging weather conditions—and is responsible for the upkeep of the truck itself. Duties include diagnosing and addressing vehicle breakdowns, replacing and adjusting worn or damaged components, and verifying repairs through test drives. Additionally, the technician handles tire services, ensures compliance with federal and state regulations, maintains meticulous vehicle records, and manages costs effectively by utilizing warranties and evaluating service options.
 
Job Duties: 
<ul>
<li>Determines vehicle condition by conducting Preventive Maintenance Inspections, oil changes, chassis lubrication while identifying worn and damaged parts, installing component and part upgrades on light, medium, and heavy-duty tractors and other equipment.</li>
<li>Performs inspections at customers location with a service truck which could include inclement weather at times. Maintains the service truck to standard including cleanliness and resupply.</li>
<li>Performs service calls dispatching to provide diagnosis and repairs related to vehicle breakdowns.</li>
<li>Corrects vehicle deficiencies identified by repairing, replacing, adjusting, disassembling and assembling, components in all major equipment system areas.</li>
<li>Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.</li>
<li>Performs tire replacements, rotations, mounting and dismounting on and off of vehicles as needed.</li>
<li>Complies with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.</li>
<li>Maintains vehicle records by annotating services and repairs.</li>
<li>Contains costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options.</li>
</ul>
Required Skills and Qualifications: 
<ul>
<li>High School Diploma or its equivalent required.</li>
<li>Post-Secondary vocational education strongly preferred.</li>
<li>Experience in mechanical inspections and repairs in a related field.</li>
<li>Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a Class B license.</li>
<li>Fleet and mobile maintenance experience a plus.</li>
<li>Ability to understand and adhere to company policies in all areas.</li>
<li>Must have a basic set of hand tools up to 1 ½”and ½ drive pneumatics.</li>
<li>Technical understanding with attention to detail.</li>
<li>Strong verbal communication and documentation skills.</li>
<li>Capable of maintaining accurate inventory control.</li>
<li>Ability to implement a strong safety environment at all times.</li>
<li>Ability to work alone with little or no direction at times.</li>
</ul>
