Position Summary:</b></h2></div><div><p>
In this role, you are responsible for the execution of over $1 bln annual oil spend for Ventura Foods. The role is the main point of contact between Ventura's manufacturing facilities, the corporate Oil Procurement group and our network of oil suppliers and is responsible for managing the supply of all bulk oils, including both railcar and truck movements. Secondary responsibilities include managing the proper inventory levels at each location to meet demand and control costs, interfacing with plant schedulers, suppliers, brokers, and procurement to balance contract position with weekly and monthly demand, and allocating plant requisitions to the correct, lowest-delivered-cost purchase contracts.</p></div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Major Duties and Responsibilities:</b></h2></div><div><ul><li>
Coordinate oil scheduling by generating purchase orders based on plant requisitions and aligning them with existing contracted positions. Ensure purchase orders are applied to the appropriate oil contracts while maintaining the lowest possible cost across the top three oil types.</li><li>
Address supply issues and demand fluctuations with suppliers and brokers on a daily basis while managing ongoing communication with plant schedulers. Responsibilities include conducting weekly reviews with key suppliers, monitoring past-due shipments, and overseeing oil inventory levels.</li><li>
Collaborate with Demand Planning and cross-functional partners to support forecast submissions, manage oversells, and address short-lead-time requests.</li><li>
Compile monthly reports, including supplier scorecards, volume totals, tariff reporting, and other ad hoc analyses as needed.</li><li>
During supply disruptions, act as primary liaison between Oil Trading, Operations, and Supply Chain.</li><li>
Monitor and resolve oil invoice exceptions, review aging purchase orders, and address any outstanding inventory issues.</li><li>
Cross-Training and coverage of other roles in the department.</li></ul></div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Education and Experience:</b></h2></div><div><ul><li>
A minimum of 5+ years of experience in commodities supply chain is required.</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, as well as the ability to prioritize issues and deliver projects and programs on time and within budget.</li><li>
Proven success in cultivating &amp; building relationships with current/future external suppliers, contacts &amp; customers.</li><li>
Ability to travel up to 25%.</li><li>
Experience in vegetable oil and/or agricultural commodity trading environment also preferred.</li><li>
College degree is preferred.</li><li>
Experience in financial and/or commodity accounting a plus.</li><li>
Supply Chain experience to include scheduling and logistics management of bulk commodities for multiple plant operations highly helpful.</li><li>
A supply chain certification is strongly preferred.

   Proactively develop, expand, and promote key Top To Top level Operator relationships within specific "Book of Business" (BOB) penetrating customers at all key functions &amp; levels. The role will require excellent customer management skills, with the ability to act as a business consultant, communicator, coach and facilitator of the customer and organization while selling the bundle of categories and services.

   Responsible for management &amp; execution of information flow (i.e. pricing, customer specific supply agreements, etc.) with both operator and customer solutions group to maintain pricing and margin integrity that meets total company guidelines.

   Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
