We are seeking qualified applicants for the position of Operations Training Simulator (OTS) Trainer. This position will be based in our Plaquemines LNG facility.

General Description:

The OTS Trainer is responsible for all facets of OTS Training and Competency at the Plaquemines facility. The OTS Trainer will proactively develop and administer the Venture Global LNG OTS Training and Competency Program. The OTS Trainer must have broad knowledge of OTS systems, training design and related implementation.

Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Responsible for the development and implementation of OTS training and competency programs for Venture Global LNG.</li>
<li>Accountable for the administration of OTS activities including competency mapping, curriculum design, scenario creation and activity administration.</li>
<li>Develop lesson plans and assessment guides for OTS training and assessment delivery.</li>
<li>Provide support through design, testing and delivery of the OTS systems from the vendor to Venture Global LNG facilities.</li>
<li>Evaluate Operator performance during training and assessments and provide feedback to Candidates, Supervisors, and Management as necessary.</li>
<li>Provide oversight for developing OTS training courses, and programs to meet or exceed company requirements, best practices and established standards.</li>
<li>Lead interaction with Operations personnel to identify scenarios based on real time data and potential incidents found during operation of the DCS.</li>
<li>Oversee maintenance contract(s) to ensure OTS is maintained and serviced to provide accurate training and assessments.</li>
<li>Develop and implement methods to track and measure the effectiveness of OTS programs.</li>
<li>Accountable for the collection and sharing of OTS training and competency metrics, and work with local management to ensure quality and internal standards for the Plaquemines facility</li>
<li>Conduct regular audits and verification of OTS activities, materials, and records, to ensure overall program effectiveness. Advise the Director - Training, Competency and Assurance of any identified gaps and action plans.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Education and Certifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.</li>
<li>Experience: 10 years in the operation of oil and gas pipelines, operating Distributed Control Systems in process or chemical processing facilities. A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in OTS systems design and training.</li>
<li>Must maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in good standing status.</li>
<li>Skills:</li>
<li><ul><li>Experience in applicable program designs required.</li>
<li>Strong working knowledge of the Operation Training Simulator and its design capability.</li>
<li>Thorough understanding of OTS training development and delivery within an operating environment preferably with FERC experience.</li>
<li>An acute sensitivity to safety issues in a hazardous environment.</li>
<li>Effective communicator at all levels of an organization with individuals and groups from different disciplines, industries, and governmental agencies.</li>
<li>Organized and able to manage multiple situations.</li>
<li>Advanced Skills with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.</li>
<li>Experience in assessing high risk positions to accredited industry standards.</li></ul></li></ul>

Operations Training Simulator (OTS) Trainer

 We are seeking a Director, Production Engineering to join our Integrated Production Excellence Team.
 
 This position will be located in Cameron, LA with frequent travel to Arlington, Virginia.
 
 
 
 This role reports to the SVP, Integrated Production Excellence and will be responsible for developing or progressing an Operational Readiness schedule to transition the facility from EPC to the operations phase.
 
 
 Post transition, the role will be responsible for closely working with Production/Operations, Maintenance, Commercial Operations, Gas Supply and other Engineering disciplines to ensure that the safe and sustainable realization of facility production targets are met.
 
 
 
 Responsibilities:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Understands all facets of Feed Gas Allocation, and LNG/NGL production, storage, and shipping.
 </li>
 <li>
 Understands the principles of fluid flow, heat transfer, thermodynamics, and hydrocarbon process chemistry as applied to an operating process unit. Familiar with the hazards of hydrocarbon processes and the methods used to keep process facilities safe.
 </li>
 <li>
 Review and validate forecasting and scheduling tools. Utilizing these tools, advise Production Management of limitations or deficiencies that may impact production.
 </li>
 <li>
 Work with the outage planning organization as a technical resource.
 </li>
 <li>
 Review and validate tools for monitoring and ordering catalyst and chemicals needed to manage the facility. Maintain energy balance models.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop tools to quantify facility emissions to support environmental and compliance reporting.
 </li>
 <li>
 Review and validate the daily Production status reports depicting all critical information and data for Production Management. This includes Inlet Feed Gas measurement and allocation, Power Consumption, LNG/NGL Production, Emissions and Waste measurements, and Efficiency monitoring.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop and maintain loss accounting summaries to allow for identification or categorization of facility production losses.
 </li>
 <li>
 Review and validation of Production performance summaries for each process unit summarizing data on total production, capacity utilization, operating reliability, unit efficiency, production loss categories and quantities, and energy utilization.
 </li>
 <li>
 Thoroughly understand the technical Management of Change process and utilize it in support of facility changes.
 </li>
 <li>
 Participate in regulatory agency audits.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support procedure development and training related to capital projects, temporary or new modes of operation, and compliance.
 </li>
 <li>
 Work with Engineering and Construction departments as needed to assure O &amp; M interests are represented on major projects.

 Qualifications:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Process Engineering
 </li>
 <li>
 A Professional Engineer&rsquo;s (PE) License or equivalent CEng license is preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Ten to Fifteen (10-15) years demonstrable experience as a Production Engineer in an LNG liquefaction facility is required
 
 with a solid understanding of feed gas pre-treatment, NGL/Condensate management and Storage and loading applications. Other Process related experience in petrochemical, NGL, cryogenic natural gas processing, or other hydrocarbon processing experience is a plus
 </li>
 <li>
 Competent in use of specialized software including but not limited to PI, Process Book, Sigmafine, HYSYS, Pro-Treat, HTRI
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization and with individuals and groups from different disciplines, industries and governmental agencies
 </li>
 <li>
 Must maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in good standing status
