Verascape is seeking an experienced Estimator to support our growing Southeast operations. This role is ideal for a candidate with hands-on landscape and hardscape estimating experience who can independently manage takeoffs, pricing, and bid preparation for commercial projects.Verascape is a newer company that is growing rapidly across the Southeast, with a strong and active backlog in Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina &amp; Kentucky. Whether you value clear processes, flexibility, career advancement, or the ability to make a real impact, Verascape provides room to grow, take ownership, and build a long-term career as the company continues to scale throughout the Carolinas and beyond.We are open to salary negotiation.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Manage multiple estimates simultaneously while meeting bid deadlines and internal review requirements</li><li>Review construction drawings and specifications to identify scope, quantities, and constructability considerations</li><li>Perform detailed landscape and hardscape takeoffs, including plant material, hardscape elements, irrigation, concrete, and site amenities</li><li>Develop complete and accurate proposals aligned with project scope and pricing guidelines</li><li>Coordinate with general contractors during preconstruction to clarify scope, pricing, and technical questions</li><li>Prepare and distribute bid packages to subcontractors and vendors as needed</li><li>Solicit and evaluate pricing for materials, site furnishings, and specialty items</li><li>Coordinate plant material pricing and availability with purchasing or nursery partners</li><li>Review estimates internally with operations and leadership prior to submission</li><li>Participate in handoff meetings to support a smooth transition from preconstruction to operations</li><li>Assist with post-bid reviews and lessons learned to improve future estimating accuracy</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Experience<ul><li>Minimum 3+ years of estimating experience in commercial landscape and hardscape construction</li><li>Proven ability to read and interpret civil, landscape, and architectural plans</li><li>Strong understanding of landscape and hardscape installation means and methods</li><li>Experience performing detailed quantity takeoffs</li><li>Proficiency with estimating software; Procore experience preferred</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple bids concurrently</li><li>Effective written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Ability to collaborate with subcontractors, vendors, general contractors, and internal teams</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook</li><li>Solid understanding of basic construction math, pricing, and cost analysis</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Work Location: In person
