<p></p><div><p><b>Essential Responsibilities:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Manage physical and electronic inventories of shared lab materials, including chemical and consumables inventories.</li>
<li>Execute lab safety activities under direction of the site safety officer and lab director, such as safety inspections, equipment testing, and scheduling safety training.</li>
<li>Coordinate chemical waste storage in the lab and disposal with third party vendors.</li>
<li>Manage the fulfillment of field trial requests, including vendor inventory management, securing appropriate documentation, request management, communication to stakeholders, and sample shipping.</li>
<li>Manage general shipping and receiving activities.</li>
<li>Manage vendor relationships, including scheduling annual maintenance and repair of general use equipment and infrastructure, identifying and establishing relationships with new vendors, and obtaining quotations.</li>
<li>Lead purchasing activities for general use materials and equipment for lab and office, including identifying appropriate materials, obtaining quotations, and reconciling payments.</li>
<li>Draft and review standard operating procedures, work instructions, and instrument guidelines.</li>
<li>Assist scientists and technicians in greenhouse or lab research, including experimental set-up, data collection, plant care, documentation, and development of new methods.</li>
<li>Supervise any interns, summer students or temporary employees, as needed.</li>
<li>Other duties not listed above as assigned by immediate supervisor.</li></ul><br>

<p><b>
Qualifications:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Ten years of work experience in a laboratory environment</li>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Crop science, Horticulture, Plant Physiology, Agronomy, Plant Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field</li>
<li>Master&rsquo;s degree in related field preferred</li>
