Position Summary: 
Technical Support Engineer I provides enterprise-level assistance to our customers. They are responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware problems and help our customers install applications and programs. Technical Support Engineers’ responsibilities include resolving network issues, configuring operating systems and using remote desktop connections to provide immediate support.
 
Duties & Responsibilities: 
<ul>
<li>Using email and chat applications, provide answers to simple IT issues. For more complex problems that require nuanced instruction, direct contact with clients via phone and/or written instructions and technical manuals</li>
<li>Own reported customer issues ensuring problems are resolved through to resolution</li>
<li>Research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identifying solutions to resolve system issues</li>
<li>Follow standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams</li>
<li>Research and identify solutions to software and hardware issues</li>
<li>Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including account setup and network configuration</li>
<li>Ask customers targeted questions to quickly understand the root of the problem</li>
<li>Track computer system issues through to resolution, within agreed time limits</li>
<li>Talk clients through a series of actions, either via phone, email or chat, until they’ve solved a technical issue</li>
<li>Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams (e.g. software developers)</li>
<li>Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers</li>
<li>Refer to internal database or external resources to provide accurate tech solutions</li>
<li>Ensure all issues are properly logged</li>
<li>Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time</li>
<li>Follow up with clients to ensure their IT systems are fully functional after troubleshooting</li>
<li>Prepare accurate and timely reports</li>
<li>Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals</li>
<li>Maintain collegial relationships with clients</li>

</ul>
Minimum Qualifications: 
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent, bachelor’s degree in IT or related field preferred</li>
<li>Up to 3 years proven work experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, IT Help Desk Technician or similar role</li>
<li>Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments</li>
<li>Understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products</li>
<li>Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues</li>
<li>Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software (eg. Zendesk)</li>
<li>Excellent problem-solving and communication skills</li>
<li>Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal</li>
<li>Additional certification in Microsoft, Linux, Cisco or similar technologies is a plus</li>

Technical Support Engineer I

VP of Financial Planning & Analysis
 
Summary of Position: 
The VP, FP&A works closely with the CFO, CEO, and all members of the senior management team to establish and execute sound processes relating to budgeting, forecasting, business unit reporting, ad hoc financial analysis, and driving impact of cross functional margin programs alongside operations and technology teams. FP&A at Verisma is expected to be heavily involved with operations and in the details and alongside operations and tech team members driving impact. The VP, FP&A must be a self-starter, highly motivated, able to deal effectively with all levels of management, and have an unquenchable curiosity to identify, analyze, and solve business issues. This position is high visibility and provides an opportunity for exposure to senior management and advancement for a highly motivated individual.
 
Duties & Responsibilities: 
Core FP&A
 <ul>
<li>Own annual budget process and rolling forecasts throughout the year</li>
<li>Manage FP&A team</li>
<li>Deliver timely and accurate business unit level reporting packages</li>
<li>Model new client pricing proposals to ensure target margins are achieved</li>
<li>Headcount approval and control for both operational and SG&A staff</li>
<li>Prepare presentations for Monthly Management and Board of Directors meetings</li>
<li>Assist with monthly close and preparation of financial statements</li>
<li>Assist with annual financial audit and forecasting of bank covenants</li>
</ul>
Driving operational impact of margin programs/technology initiatives
 <ul>
<li>Act as key business liaison with operations and R&D to drive financial impact of margin programs. Ensure the right leading and lagging indicators are established, tracked, measured, and achieved.</li>
<li>Support all business units’ operational productivity programs including supporting the HPR team in demand planning/ work assignment planning across production teams</li>
<li>Develop operational reporting KPIs for new/growing business lines</li>
</ul>
Support Business Development
 <ul>
<li>Participate in analysis of acquisition opportunities and integration efforts</li>
<li>Prepare long range financial projections aligned with company strategy</li>
</ul>
Overall
 <ul>
<li>Embody the values of collaboration and proactive curiosity around the “whys” of the business while living in the details alongside operations and technology team members</li>
<li>Special projects as required and Ad Hoc Analysis</li>
<li>Perform other related duties, as assigned, to ensure effective operation of the department and the Company</li>

</ul>
Minimum Qualifications: 
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in finance, engineering, economics or related field required, MBA is preferred</li>
<li>12+ years of proven experience in FP&A, Supply/Demand Planning, or other Fin-Ops roles</li>
<li>Experience managing operations teams a plus</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li>
<li>Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively</li>
<li>Technically proficient with data analysis tools such as Advanced Excel, Power BI, SQL, etc.</li>
<li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment</li>
<li>Travel 5 to 10% of the time</li>
</ul>
