Job DescriptionThe Veritas Music &amp; Learning Center has an opening for a guitar teacher, but would be able to provide for work for a dual role of guitar, piano and voice instructor. This position is for independent contractor status teacher at our academic and music tutoring center.IMMEDIATE NEED.We are currently looking for a new guitar instructor with availability during the week and possibly on Saturdays. In addition, our regular teachers also act as substitutes very frequently. So, the opportunity to substitute teach is available Mondays through Saturdays.QUALIFICATIONS: College degree is preferred, but will take into consideration teaching experience, and we are willing to mentor talented individuals who are interested in teaching. Solid music theory must be a part of the curriculum, so, the applicant must have strong background in music theory and must have had professional music lessons.TEACHER SALARY: $40 per hour, or $20 per 30-min lesson._____________________The Veritas Center is a unique center where Music and Academic Tutoring all take place at the same time. We have approximately 40 teachers providing private and small group classes and lessons and tutoring in Piano, Voice, Cello, Violin, Viola, Trumpet, Flute, Oboe, Bassoon, Guitar, Drums, Marimba, Bells, Saxophone, Clarinet, several languages, and all academic subjects, including Art and test prep.The center has an open and friendly waiting area, with toys and free Wi-Fi for parents or siblings. There are snacks available for purchase too! The rooms have large windows, making for a bright, welcoming atmosphere.
