 Verland is currently seeking Direct Support Professionals' to join our team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for providing Exceptional Care to the individuals that call Verland their Home.
House Name: Hasenflu House
Location: Hermitage, PA 16148
Shifts available:
Full Time- 40 hours
Week 1: 11pm-7am Sunday and Tuesday thru Friday
Week 2: 11pm-7am Monday thru Wednesday, Saturday and 3p-11pm Friday
Week 3: 11pm-7am Sunday / Monday / Friday / Saturday and 3pm-11pm Thursday
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for individualized care and ongoing support for people in our community with complex physical, medical and intellectual challenges. This is an hourly, non-exempt position.
Contributions:<ul><li>
Enrich and support the lives of our residents while maintaining a safe and healthy environment</li><li>
Introduce and encourage skill development through active treatment activities</li><li>
Implement individualized programs; record all observations and daily progress notes.</li><li>
Participate in planning social, home, and recreational activities</li><li>
Assist with meals and perform cleaning and laundry duties in the house</li><li>
Transport clients to appointments and activities in Verland vehicles</li><li>
Bathe, dress, and assist clients with personal hygiene</li><li>
Housekeeping duties as needed</li><li>
Medication Administration</li><li>
Other duties as assigned</li></ul>

Requirements:
<ul><li>High school diploma/GED</li><li>
Valid driver&rsquo;s license</li><li>
Reliable means of transportation</li><li>
Ability to lift and transfer without restrictions</li><li>
Must pass a complete Background, Physical, and Drug screening</li><li>
Experience is not required!</li></ul>
2 weeks paid training provided by Verland, to educate new hires on daily living skills, social engagement, personal hygiene skills, along with each individual&rsquo;s support plan/ personal development goals that are essential to improve the daily lives of the individuals that we serve. Completion of training is required at the start of employment.
