POSITION OVERVIEW:
The IT Analyst I is an entry-level technical position responsible for providing technology support, triage, configuration, testing and maintenance for the specified applications or services to the designated business owners within Versant Power.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>
Monitors and maintains all operational processing as prescribed by the respective application business areas. Reports on anomalies and works with intermediate and senior technicians to resolve problems.</li><li>
Supports the development and testing of new applications, application changes, and upgrades associated with the specified applications and related integration tools, as specified and designed by the intermediate and senior level analysts.</li><li>
Provide secondary testing and documentation for proposed solutions before moving to production.</li><li>
Aids internal customers by providing data analyses, problem analysis, testing analysis and problem resolution.</li><li>
Research and recreate system issues submitted by internal customers to determine cause of issue.</li><li>
Work with external vendors to resolve system issues as needed.</li><li>
Works with internal customers to modify and update business processes as needed to support evolving business requirements.</li><li>
Work with internal customers to determine steps followed when issue occurred.</li><li>
Work with internal customers to determine system or process improvements.</li><li>
Create system use instructions for internal customers when new features are added.</li><li>
Provide training for internal customers on new features/functionality as needed.</li><li>
Assists in training new department members.</li><li>
Helps intermediate and senior level resources to learn new skills and help cover support for other application systems.</li><li>
Supports, tests, configures and troubleshoots for Customer Information Systems (CIS)</li><li>
Provides necessary backup to single points of failure in Production Operations as assigned.</li><li>
Provides documentation to support the department's work plan as assigned.</li><li>
Participates, as required, in additional duties as assigned.</li><li>
Assist with special projects as requested based on business or system knowledge.</li><li>
Work with external vendors to resolve outstanding system issues.</li><li>
Assist in gathering external customer data to create mail merges.</li><li>
Complies with internal audit requirements, test policies and change control processes.</li><li>
Works in accordance with the documented environmental procedures, instructions, and specific responsibilities as defined in individual procedures and instructions. Reports problems or deviations associated with environmental issues and the Environmental Management System (EMS) to the Environmental Department.</li></ul>
QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>
AS in Computer Science or equivalent experience required.</li><li>
Minimum of 6 months experience in a client-focused IT support role preferred.</li><li>
Exposure to testing methodologies required.</li><li>
Strong customer service ethics, and the ability to work independently or in teams.</li><li>
Excellent written and oral communication skills.</li><li>
Exposure to utility application systems, billing systems and/or electrical infrastructure and design preferred.</li><li>
Must be willing to travel for training.</li><li>
Position requires a valid driver&rsquo;s license.</li></ul>

Occasional travel is required, including overnight stays.</li></ul>
RATE OF PAY:
Pay will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
