 Who You Are
 
 
 
 The Project Engineer supports the RMMR Program in planning and reviewing of project elements required in the performance of a United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Recurring Maintenance and Minor Repair (RMMR) task order. The Project Engineer reports to the Program Manager and is responsible for overall technical acceptability of all maintenance and repair performed under the contract. Other duties such as assisting in developing, reviewing, and costing, the work to successfully complete the requirements in accordance with the company&rsquo;s quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
 
 
 
 What You&rsquo;ll Do
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Responsible for reviewing scopes of work, bill of materials, means and methods, and overall suitability of proposed repairs to fuels systems and ancillary fuel system components.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provides early notice to the RMMR project team of approved and disapproved maintenance and repair actions and provides assistance in making corrections to ensure that maintenance and repair actions are suitable and in compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provides technical oversight of service order scopes of work, ensuring health and safety plans and quality plans are developed and followed. Uses UFGS/UFC/EM-385 guidance to review/approve service order scopes for accuracy.
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborates with Task Order Safety Managers and others to develop work plans for High Risk/Complex service orders.
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitors the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for all service orders.
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinates with maintenance manager to ensure RM events are adhered to and that all tasks are performed in accordance with contract requirements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Reviews and approves expense report charges on projects and time sheets, as required.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assists in preparing proposals, presentations, reports and visiting prospective clients. Develops and maintains customer and client relationships; becomes familiar with client&rsquo;s business and expectations, to encourage and promote future/repeat business.
 </li>

 Ensures development of a quality project by regularly reviewing work products for presentation quality, adherence to client scope, and company quality standards.
 </li>
 <li>
 Updates and maintains body of knowledge related to training and job responsibilities.
 
 
 </li>

 What You&rsquo;ll Bring
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Minimum of three years engineering experience on petroleum fuel systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Must possess and maintain an active and valid driver's license without restrictions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Must be proficient in English, both written and verbal, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
 </li>
 <li>
 Successful results of pre-employment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen.
 </li>
 <li>
 Comply with company drug and alcohol policy.
 </li>
 <li>
 Be authorized to work in the US or will be authorized by the successful candidate&rsquo;s start date.

 Education
 
 
 
 <ul>

 Bachelor&rsquo;s degree (BS) from an accredited four-year college or university in an engineering discipline preferably mechanical.

 Skills

 Proficient in MS Office suite of tools, including Word, Excel, Database, PowerPoint, and Project.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to use/learn Quickbase, eMaint, MaintainX, Timberland and/or other software programs that manage information and schedules.
 </li>
 <li>
 EIT or PE certification is preferred.

 Compensation
 
 
 
 Expected Salary: $95,000 - $115,000 per year

Project Engineer

 Background
 
 
 
 Versar Global Solutions will provide technical services including inspections, assessments, repairs, reports and training for facilities throughout the US Army&rsquo;s Central Command Area of Responsibility primarily including Kuwait, Iraq, Jordan, Qatar, and Syria. Services include electrical inspection and repairs of LIFE / HEALTH / SAFETY (LHS) deficiencies, storage management of Government Property / Contractor Acquired Property (GP/CAP), construction and operations related inspections and assessments. The work will take place at existing US Military and coalition occupied facilities within the CENTCOM AOR.
 
 
 
 Position Responsibilities
 
 
 
 Site Safety and Health Officer will operate under the general direction TF SAFE Project Manager. The TF SAFE Site Safety Officer will work to ensure that operations, engineering, and electrical inspection/repair activities are conducted in compliance with applicable Federal, Industry and Client safety regulations. Tasks will include:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Implement and manage a program safety plan in accordance with EM 385-1-1 Safety and Health Requirements Manual and the TF SAFE Accident Prevention Plan.
 </li>
 <li>
 Positively interface between the Client and the Contractor&rsquo;s project teams and resources.
 </li>
 <li>
 Implement accident and loss prevention programs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct regular safety audits of sites to prevent incidents
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct daily safety meetings with on-site personnel (toolbox talks).
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop plans, procedures and programs to meet the specific safety needs of Versar.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain records of training activities and employee programs, monitoring their effectiveness.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain records and reporting systems on lost time accidents and property losses.
 </li>
 <li>
 Identify loss producing conditions and practices, recommending appropriate corrective action.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop training manuals and training aids for internal use and be able to train employees on fundamentals of the Accident Prevention Program.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist in the creation of Activity Hazard Analysis.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support and comply with all components of Accident Prevention Program.
 </li>
 <li>
 Investigate and keep record of all incidents, injuries, near misses, etc. and submit proper documentation to the TF SAFE PM.
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Experience
 
 
 
 The Site Safety and Health Officer shall have no less than five years of experience managing similar safety programs with 20+ personnel under USACE programs in accordance with EM 385-1-1 Safety and Health Requirements Manual.
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 SSHO will be qualified IAW EM 385-1-1, Section 1-3
 </li>
 <ul>
 <li>
 Completed the 30-hour OSHA General Industry or construction safety training and
 </li>
 <li>
 Completed 24 hours of documented safety training every 3 years
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 </ul>
 or
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 As an equivalent, formal construction or industry safety and health training covering the subjects of the OSHA 30-hour course and the EM 385-1-1 such as the EM 385-1, 40-hour course
 </li>
 <li>
 Candidate must have exceptional computer skills in common business software including email, spreadsheets and documents (MS-Outlook, MS-Excel, MS-Project, and MS-Word or equivalent).
 </li>
 <li>
 International experience and CENTCOM specific experience is preferred.
 
 
 </li>

 Other Information
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 The candidate must have the ability to work under austere conditions in Kuwait and must pass a medical screening physical.
 </li>
 <li>
 Lodging location is in Kuwait City or on Camp Arifjan and work location is on Camp Arifjan, Kuwait.
 </li>
 <li>
 The candidate must pass a background check and be cleared by the US government before deployment.
 </li>
 <li>
 The candidate must possess a valid US Passport with a minimum of 18 months before expiration.
 </li>
 <li>
 The work locations are in remote areas of CENTCOM and the quality of life support is moderate.
 </li>
 <li>
 Candidates should expect to work six days a week, 12 hours a day
 </li>
 <li>
 Lodging and transportation will be provided by Versar or the US Government. Meals will be provided by the US Government in Dining Facilities.
 </li>
 <li>
 Standard US wages will be uplifted for remote working conditions, and an elevated work week of 72 hours per week.
 </li>
 <li>
 The work location could be changed by the US Government to other nearby countries.
