 Seeking a full-time Air Freight Assistant Supervisor at our location in Kuwait. The ideal candidate will perform all tasks associated with the safe and correct operation of the Air Terminal as directed by management, regulations, policies, instructions and the Performance Work Statement.
 
 
 
 Your Impact

 Responsible for all the safe and correct operation for their assigned shift.

 Facilitate safe loading and unloading of cargo and baggage on and off government owned or contracted aircraft, surface conveyances, and commercial pallet dollies IAW AFI 24-605, Volume 2 and other applicable instructions.

 Coordinate employee training that are assigned to their shift.

 <li>
 Periodically evaluate employee&rsquo;s performance based on established criteria.

 Track and document training in the employee training records.
 </li>

 Decertify all employees that fail evaluations and facilitate refresher training.
 </li>

 Monitor proper validation, selection, staging and upload aircraft loads utilizing the load plan.

 Verify the proper section to facilitate onward movement of cargo/mail.
 </li>
 <li>
 Enforce proper procedures on build-up / break-down baggage pallets, multi-pallet trains, loose cargo, and mixed pallets.
 </li>

 Review shift workforce training for GATES / GDSS systems as required.
 </li>
 <li>
 Enforce safety program.
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor all Cargo Processing, Special Handling, and Load Planning functions to ensure compliance with AFI 24-605, Volumes 2 and DTR 4500-9 Parts 2 and 3, and AFMAN 24-604 and other applicable instructions.
 </li>

 Compile and provide to management accurate data for all required Performance Work Statement (PWS) reports.
 </li>
 <li>
 Verify terminal and joint inventories of special handling cargo procedures are properly done.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure cargo is processed within six (6) hours of receipt or release from frustrated status.
 </li>
 <li>
 Schedule timely pick-up / release of cargo and mail.
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor GATES reports to ensure data base integrity.
 </li>
 <li>
 Test manual procedures and ensure employees are properly trained on manual procedures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure surface conveyances are safely and properly loaded.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure maximum aircraft utilization based upon available airlift and existing port backlogs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure on-time aircraft departures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Implement the Theater Express program.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure all LBS controlled areas are clean and neat in appearance.
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor vehicle parking to ensure employees comply with the published parking plan.
 </li>

 Develop work schedules and submits to the Air Freight manager
 </li>
 <li>
 Accomplish a daily attendance report and forwards to the Air Freight manager.
 </li>

 Oversee the safe and correct operation of K-loaders, forklifts, buses, tugs, vans or other required vehicles, ensure daily inspection utilizing check lists and AFTO forms and ensure vehicles in need of repair or service are properly turned in to maintenance.
 </li>

 Perform supplemental duties in Aircraft Services or other work centers as required by the Air Freight Manager.

 Perform ATOC, Command and Control, Ramp Controller, Cape Forecasting, PPR, Data Records.

 Facilitate maximum aircraft utilization and on-time aircraft departures, including resolving situational issues, gathering, processing and disseminating information in accordance with Air Force Instruction (AFI) 24-605 V2, AMCI 10-2102 V6 and other applicable instructions.

 Ensure passenger service functions are IAW AFI 24-605, Volumes, DTR 4500.9-R, Parts I and III and all guidance listed in the PWS.

 Verify that processed passengers using automated / non-automated systems are accurate and ensure manual procedures are executed without error.

 Monitor the maintenance and operation of terminal security equipment and reports issues to the Passenger Manager.

 Monitor transportation and lodging procedures for in-transit thru-load passengers are being completed as per guidance.

 Verify collection of orders for all flights as per the PWS and regulations.

 Ensure personnel are properly trained IAW applicable regulations and requirement of the PWS.

 Enforce the screening exemption letter and provides the Passenger Manager updates when required.

 Monitor sterile passenger holding areas ensuring they are properly used and maintained.

 Ensure passengers are briefed on the AMC Commander&rsquo;s comment box location and reports any issues to the Passenger Service Manager.

 Verify personnel are properly enforcing hazardous/dangerous goods that are acceptable/unacceptable for passenger flights.

 Ensure baggage is separated by destination as per the PWS.

 Monitor and ensure mishandled baggage is documented as per the PWS.

 Ensure funds are handled in accordance with establish guidelines and help the Passenger Service Manager to resolve issues found during internal audits.

 Ensure proper completion of the Mishandled Baggage Summary report as per the PWS.

 Process Distinguished Visitors (DV&rsquo;s) working with Protocol office.
 </li>

 Escort trucks, buses, personnel, DV&rsquo;s and other related ground conveyances and personnel as needed.
 </li>

 Inspect, operate safely and keep clean (to include but not limited to) coaster buses, vans, aircraft staircases, and baggage belt loaders. Notify management when vehicles are not operating properly and turn vehicles in for repair.

 Park vehicles according to published vehicle parking plan in designated areas.
