The Vertex Data, Technology, and Engineering co-op program is a 6-month experiential training program for students currently working towards an undergraduate or advanced degree. What you will be doing:
We will have various positions within our functional areas, including but not limited to:
<ul><li>Commercial Technology Business Analyst : In this internship, you will work with the Veeva CRM team and cross functional partners to identify and understand the key functionality of the Global Veeva CRM platform at Vertex. This internship is an opportunity to become familiar with the Field CRM program at Vertex and play a critical role in ensuring platform scalability and health.
</li><li>CPEAO &amp; MWS : The person in this role will be an integral part of Vertex&rsquo;s DTE CPEAO &amp; MWS team. This intern will help support applications managed by our team that aid in the preparation, review, and management of clinical/regulatory/medical communications and publications. They will contribute to project teams with requirements gathering, business analysis, implementation, or maintenance of a system or tool.
</li><li>G&amp;A, Financial Applications : The person in this role will be a supportive member of Vertex&rsquo;s DTE G&amp;A team and the global DTE organization. This intern will specifically help support financial applications which enable the organization to function optimally financially by supporting the technology behind strategic investing, banking, procurement, and additional operational competencies. This will include tasks such as implementation, automation, reporting, maintenance, configuration, audit, and more.
</li><li>GMDA, GCO, and Clinical Development : The person in this role will be a supportive member of Vertex&rsquo;s DTE GMDA team for GCO and Clinical Development. This intern will specifically support the build and configuration of our Business Analysis process and delivery of business requirements for individual projects within Clinical Operations. This will enable the organization to function optimally by organizing our business requirements gathering practices across our several Clinical Trial Business Capabilities as well as various GCO DTE Projects. This will include tasks such as implementation, reporting, and configuration.
</li><li>Marketing Technology : The Marketing Technology (MarTech) Intern will serve as a technical resource for supporting the DTE Commercial MarTech team across Web, Email and Content platforms. The role will provide support managing global implementation projects and platform enhancement projects across Commercial, Medical and Corporate Communications.
</li><li>Project Management &amp; Strategic Operations Business Analyst: collaborate closely with experienced professionals across IT and business teams, assisting in refining project reporting, improving data accuracy, and helping to optimize processes within our project management tools and systems. This internship provides valuable exposure to project management best practices in a dynamic, supportive, and team-oriented environment.
</li><li>Project Management &amp; Strategic Operations Knowledge Management: collaborate closely with experienced professionals, contributing to the streamlining of document management processes, optimizing our knowledge repository within Microsoft Teams, and ensuring the efficient organization of project artifacts. This internship offers valuable exposure to knowledge management best practices in a collaborative, innovative, and team-oriented environment.
</li><li>Quality Regulatory : The person in this role will be a member of DTE Quality &amp; Regulatory team. This intern will contribute to project teams with requirements gathering, coordination of new technology assessments etc. The intern will also help support applications managed by our team, including support of change control processes, report development etc.

<ul><li>Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program and majoring in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field

The Senior Manager, GxP Strategic Document Partner supports the Associate Director of GxP Quality Document and Records Management by managing, assessing, and delivering high-impact, compliant documents and records management solutions in alignment with quality objectives, regulatory standards, and business priorities.
 
 
The Senior Manager serves as a strategic document partner for assigned area(s) and/or quality system(s), leading document impact and needs analyses and partners with the business to lead Global document initiatives, supporting a functional document hierarchy which integrates the development, maintenance, and distribution of critical documents that support the organization&rsquo;s strategic goals and initiatives. This role requires expertise in consulting, solution project management, administration of the document management system (DMS), and regulatory oversight to support the development of effective documentation and management of records which appropriately reflect regulatory requirements and support inspection readiness.
 
 
The role collaborates with cross-functional documentation and training teams, DTE (IT), and HR to ensure strategies are enabled through technology, including automation and emerging modalities such as AI and Machine Learning, while driving document and records governance and compliance, innovation, and continuous improvement across the GxP document and records program.
Key Responsibilities
<ul><li>Serve as a strategic document partner for assigned functional areas and/or quality system(s), aligning document development and records management with business, quality, and regulatory expectations
</li><li>Act as a liaison between functional area leadership and the GxP Document and Training Strategy and Operations teams, ensuring alignment of documentation goals with operational and quality objectives
</li><li>Conduct document impact and needs analyses and supports the functional document hierarchy which integrates the development, maintenance, and distribution of critical documents that support the organization&rsquo;s strategic goals and initiatives
</li><li>Ensure GxP documents are engaging, effective, and compliant, using instructional design and adult learning methodology best practices
</li><li>Partner with stakeholders to ensure the document and records management process along with documentation assumes a risk-based approach and reflects current industry and regulatory standards
</li><li>Collaborate with Quality, Document and Training Operations, and business partners to support inspection-ready documentation and records.
</li><li>Leverage automation, digital tools, and emerging technologies, including AI and Machine Learning, to optimize documentation processes and content
</li><li>Identify opportunities to enhance document and records management processes, content, and delivery methods by leveraging feedback and data-driven insights
</li><li>Promote a culture of change by driving continuous improvement initiatives that improve documentation impact and efficiency
</li><li>Evaluate documentation quality system effectiveness using appropriate metrics to ensure objectives are met and compliance requirements are achieved

</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree with 5-10 years&rsquo; experience in GxP Document and Records Management or in related function, Masters preferred
</li><li>Demonstrated fluency in documentation impact assessment and needs analyses, and the development, hierarchy structure, and management of a range of documentation (Standards, SOPs, work instructions, job aids, guidance, training materials) with consideration for applicable regulatory requirements
</li><li>Deep expertise in Document Control and Management, technical writing principles, performance consultation, and emerging technologies (AI, machine learning, automation) in alignment with regulatory requirements and inspection readiness
</li><li>Experience working with and supporting Biologics and Device, Cell and Gene Therapies, Clinical, and Manufacturing, preferred
</li><li>Demonstrated project management expertise, lean methodologies
