 Position Overview
 
 
 
 VCPG is seeking a highly professional
 
 Unarmed Corporate Security Officer
 
 to provide 24/7 coverage for business operations. Core functions include access control, visitor management, lobby/console coverage, interior and exterior patrols, incident response and escalation per SOP, and accurate report writing &mdash; all delivered with discretion, strong customer service, and decisive action.
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Control access points; verify employee and visitor credentials; issue and retrieve temporary badges.
 </li>
 <li>
 Staff lobby/console; monitor CCTV cameras and alarm systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Escalate incidents per SOP and coordinate with first responders when required.
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct interior and exterior patrols (doors, stairwells, loading docks, mechanical/electrical spaces).
 </li>
 <li>
 Identify, document, and report safety hazards.
 </li>
 <li>
 Complete timely and accurate Daily Activity Reports (DARs) and incident reports.
 </li>
 <li>
 Preserve evidence when applicable.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support emergency procedures including medical response, fire response, evacuation, and shelter-in-place.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain disciplined radio communications and thorough shift hand-offs.
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Required Qualifications
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Experience: 5&ndash;10 years of professional security experience (corporate or campus preferred).
 </li>
 <li>
 Education: Associate degree required.
 </li>
 <li>
 Licensing: Active California BSIS Guard Card (Unarmed).
 </li>
 <li>
 Certifications: Current First Aid and CPR certification.
 </li>
 <li>
 Availability: Ability to consistently work 12-hour day or night shifts with overtime as needed.
 </li>
 <li>
 Technology: Proficient with smartphones, incident-reporting applications, and email.
 </li>
 <li>
 Work Authorization: Authorized to work in the United States.
 </li>
 <li>
 Background: Must pass background screening consistent with role requirements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Transportation: Reliable transportation to San Francisco (site accessible via BART, Muni, bus, etc.)
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Preferred Qualifications
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Prior site lead or supervisor experience.
 </li>
 <li>
 De-escalation training (MOAB, Verbal Judo, or equivalent).
 </li>
 <li>
 Control room/CCTV console and visitor management system experience.
 </li>
 <li>
 Exposed firearm permit and/or CCW, or eligibility to obtain within first 6 months of employment.
 </li>
 <li>
 EMT background.

 Physical &amp; Environmental Requirements
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Ability to stand and walk for most of a 12-hour shift.
 </li>
 <li>
 Patrol several miles per shift.
 </li>
 <li>
 Climb stairs regularly.
 </li>
 <li>
 Occasionally lift up to approximately 35 lbs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Work primarily indoors with periodic outdoor patrols.
