As a team of dedicated medical professionals, we provide high-quality Compensation &amp; Pension (C&amp;P) Examinations and Separation Health Assessments that directly impact the benefits and services our Veterans receive.Position SummaryWe are seeking experienced and licensed Physician Assistants (PA-C) to conduct Compensation &amp; Pension (C&amp;P) examinations for Veterans submitting disability claims to the VA. This role involves focused, non-treatment clinical assessments to evaluate the impact of service-connected injuries or health conditions. You will work within a streamlined, supportive environment that emphasizes clinical quality, operational excellence, and Veteran dignity.This is a non-treatment, assessment-only role &mdash; no ongoing care, prescribing, or follow-up is required.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Perform Comprehensive Medical Disability Evaluations (MDEs)</li></ul>Conduct in-depth assessments of Veterans including physical exams, range of motion testing, and condition-specific evaluations.<ul><li>Review and Analyze Medical Records</li></ul>Interpret diagnostic test results, service treatment records, and VA documentation to inform your clinical findings.<ul><li>Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)</li></ul>Utilize web-based tools to enter findings during exams and ensure compliance with VA-required formats and criteria.<ul><li>Provide Objective Medical Opinions</li></ul>Formulate unbiased, evidence-based opinions about a Veteran&rsquo;s functional limitations and the potential impact on work/life activities.<ul><li>Document Accurately and Thoroughly</li></ul>Submit precise and timely reports adhering to VA contractual obligations and HIPAA regulations.<ul><li>Collaborate with Internal Teams</li></ul>Partner with our Quality Assurance team, schedulers, and clinical support staff to ensure timely case completion and optimal Veteran experience.Minimum Qualifications<ul><li>Education: Master&rsquo;s Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant or nurse practitioner program</li><li>Licensure: Unrestricted PA/NP license in good standing in any U.S. state or territory</li><li>Certification: Current NCCPA/AANPCB/AANP/ANCC certification required</li><li>Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in primary care, internal medicine, occupational health, or a related field is highly recommended.</li><li>BLS Certification: Current Basic Life Support certification required</li><li>Technology: Proficiency in EMRs, MS Office Suite, and comfort working within secure web-based platforms</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Experience performing C&amp;P or similar disability evaluations</li><li>Military service or direct experience with Veteran populations</li><li>Military spouses or family of service members</li><li>Prior work with federal health agencies or the VA</li><li>Training or certification in occupational medicine, physical assessment, or medical disability evaluation</li></ul>Skills &amp; Attributes<ul><li>Strong clinical judgment and analytical skills</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication</li><li>Compassionate, Veteran-first approach</li><li>Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently</li><li>Ability to adapt to evolving VA policies and fast-paced environments</li><li>Commitment to ethical and objective evaluations</li><li>Familiarity with HIPAA, patient confidentiality laws, and federal contractor compliance</li></ul>Physical Requirements<ul><li>Prolonged periods of standing, sitting, and use of a computer</li><li>Ability to lift up to 15 pounds</li><li>Full range of physical motion required for musculoskeletal and general exams</li></ul>Work Environment<ul><li>In-clinic assessments with flexible hybrid work-from-home options for documentation</li><li>Clinics closed on weekends and federal holidays</li></ul>What We Offer<ul><li>Competitive hourly compensation</li><li>Flexible full-time and part-time scheduling</li><li>Minimal administrative burden &mdash; focus on patient care</li><li>Opportunities to grow within a mission-focused organization</li><li>Comprehensive onboarding and ongoing clinical support</li><li>A Veteran-first culture built on integrity, accountability, and service</li></ul>Join Us at Vets4VetsMake a lasting impact by serving those who served.
